Recently I asked my son 14 yrs old, what does your$600 phone do that my Android won't? I'm starting to see the differences. Like when an app, ie DRIVE, is safe storage for all files. That is, if your not on an Android. If ur using an Android like mine. To see, lock, and/or access important files/ E books,etc.,.u will need more support to do so
I've had my Google account since the beginning, before anyone could just join, and you had to be invited. I was invited. Google's slogan was "never lose a message again". I also had unlimited storage. Now, I'm getting notifications that I'm using 26 gig of a 15 gig account. How does one practically double their allocation with no warning? Someone arbitrarily bumped me down to a 15 gig account, that's how. Also I get notifications that I'm not getting my messages because my account is full. And I must start paying a monthly fee. Google, you made an offer and I accepted. Continue to uphold your offer, it came without time limits or restraints. Google, you made a promise, keep your promise.
This was my first time using this app, and it was a horrible experience. I wanted to upload pictures and videos of car shows/meets, my street outlaw videos, and other pictures of friends and family. It kept saying uploading for the past hour so I decided to check on it later. 3 hours passed and nothing had uploaded instead it deleted all 500+ videos and pictures. It sure did create storage on my phone though just not how it was supposed to.
inconsistent ability to upload, whether over mobile service or over any wifi connection. it only says "incomplete upload" repeatedly without actually uploading anything. if there's not enough space (there should be enough), there is no notification to tell me so i can do something about it. incredibly frustrating.
Extremely buggy. I can only see a few pictures before they go all black until I restart the app. I can't see more than a few pictures in a row and it makes it unusable which sucks as I am a paying customer. If you could make it more stable and add a password lock which Microsoft and Dropbox have then it would be great. I think you choose not to because you want all your files to be available across Gmail and all your other apps as opposed to at least giving us the choice. Security Vs ease of use.
I got so pissed off that my writing got deleted off my phone. All my work lost. I really wished I knew about Drive before. Now I have a safety net knowing that online storage is something to rely on...Thank you Google! I know people dont say this but I really appreciate for taking the time and effort you guys did to make this app :)
* Thank you for using Google Drive! We're ending the year with a couple of nice bug fixes and performance improvements.
