Almost as good as Word. Docs has really come a LONG WAY as an app. It's full featured and works great with a Chromebook. However, on Chromebooks, I really wish the app would mimic the web app in formatting. It sounds stupid, but there's something about skeuomorphic design that helps me write. If the Docs app could look like a piece of paper on top of a background, that would be amazing!
I think this app is great for if you have a school paper to do, or writing a story because it automatically saves and I can share the docs with my friends if I want to. It's also easily accessible. But there's one small problem. WHERE'S THE ITALICS?!?!?!?!? I use italics in my stories to show my characters are thinking. I want to be able to do that again, please. I apologise for the all caps, but I'm really upset about this.
WHY CAN I NOT DOWNLOAD MY DOCUMENTS EVERY SINGLE TIME IS SAYS UNSUCCESSFUL. YOU DONT ALLOW ME TO USE THE BROWSER VERSION EITHER BECAUSE IT JUST TAKES ME TO THE APP AGAINST MY WILL. FIX IT OR ALLOW ME TO USE BROWSER SO THIS APP HAS ANY USE AT ALL.
DOCUMENT S.. SAVED ARE TO THE ENTIRE SATISFACTION... DESERVINGLY REQUIRED THANKS GIVING MATTER Preservation of DOCUMENTS AND search AT various places is a TASK and time consuming FACTOR, WHICH YOU HAVE SOLVED THROUGH THIS AND ACHIEVED... CONGRATULATIONS
Great app. Its super convenient and very user-friendly (even for older people)! I am annoyed of how long it takes to load up and how the letters lag when you are editing a document but I can definitely deal with it for the convenience!
I love it, I am huge writer and docs is a lifesaver. BUT WHERE IS THE ITALICS TOOL??? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SHOW WHAT MY CHARACTERS ARE THINKING?? Sorry, but it is extremley frustrating.
