Good for access across devices I use Docs to take notes for class, work, and personal use. It's great because I can access my notes wherever I am. The only issue is accessing larger documents; the load time is long and they often crash on my cellphone. Otherwise, it's all good!
I hate that the android app is not the same as the online version. It has limited fonts compared to the web version, and my son couldn't format his clip art on this app, again only on the web app. I hate how I don't have the option to use the web app on the table that it defaults to this stupid app. Also I spent an hour trying to find help about these limitations and found none. Not happy at all.
Collaboration and Comments Notifications are the best attributes on Google Docs Scrolling, page jumping, and and some issues with file formats, especially Final Draft (.fdx), could be improved, but they're manageable. I greatly prefer working on Google and Samsung tabs so it's an issue that .fdx files are troublesome, but really, an extra fifteen minutes a day to move files around to get access to them and format them is kind of a first world problem. I'm incredibly grateful for Google Docs 'cause it rocks! ;) sorry, had to.
The only word processor you'll need. Before I review Google Docs let me say one thing - I wouldn't recommend writing sensitive documents for your employer using cloud based applications like Google Docs. For writing anything else I'm not sure why you'd use anything else. It provides a wide range of templates, formatting tools and it's real time collaboration functionality is a dream to use - updates made to a document on one device appear immediately on all other devices. Access control and collaboration means the document owns can see who updated what and when. Great stuff!
I love that this app saves all of your progress and changes, so your work is never lost. Also, the fact that I can write anywhere, is awesome. My main problem is with copying and pasting. I haven't figured out how to do it where it's not so difficult.
Great app! Use it all the time. One problem: if I backspace to long it starts duplicating two letters over and over. Idk if this is Google doc's problem or Gboard but it's a bit annoying. Overall awesome app!
