Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.
No longer opens any Excel files from my phone's internal storage. I just get the message "Can't open this document. Google Sheets was unable to open your spreadsheet." This is a very recent issue and I can find no workaround for it. Was any functionality remove in recent updates? Update 8/10/2022 ... Most recent update seems to have corrected the issue. No problem opening locally stored docs.

Very useful app. However there is a bug that continues to happen where it will switch me, the only authorized user of the sheet, to a view only setting where I don't have any ability to change any of my sheets. I found a work around that I can do by clearing the data and cache, and since these are on the cloud I don't lose anything and am again able to use the application normally. If you fix this bug permanently I will change review to 5 stars as I actually love the functionality of this app.

Considering Chromebook sales and usage spiked during the pandemic, what with distance learning and work-from-home, a reasonable person would expect Google would have made their spreadsheet app at least stable. I'm sure someone reasonable MUST work in the Sheets department, but one would never guess from the app. It opens a file, I try to go to the cell I was working on, it promptly crashes and must be reopened. How is a body supposed to get any work done in these conditions?!
