This is a fantastic app. I decided to try it after Chase stopped supporting non-customers with their QuickPay service, and this is so much better. The best part is that I was able to send money in less than a minute after I opened the app because it is linked to my google account, which already had my card info and my google contacts. People don't even need to have the app to send money to them, which is a step above the other services I've used. The request money feature is also a great idea that I look forward to using.
Since my bank gave me a chip debit card, I can no longer get access to my money instantly. Instead Google wallet insists that my card is a credit card, despite the fact that my card clearly says debit card. When they had their own card it was so sweet, instant money. I used it to send cash to my son in college. But, as with a lot of big businesses, they expanded something, reinvented something and basically screwed loyal consumers. The customer service , although very friendly is as helpful as a corn cob. I was on the phone for approximately an hour and I got an email hours later from someone who said apparently Google wallet determined that my card was a credit card. Why because it has a chip? Don't most cards have chips? I won't be using this very often.
Great for moving money faster than A.C.H. and for FREE between bank accounts, just use the debit card for each of your checking accounts as the primary payment method, and do this for multiple different emails and banks/credit unions. Then send money back and forth using those email addresses! Love it.
This is a fantastic peer to peer payments app. Money is transferred quick and having a physical card makes it great for in store usage and Android pay integration. **update** with the card aspect being canceled I'm a bit disappointed as are many others but cashing out to a debit card is easy and money shows up in minutes.
I will be sticking to paypal. I made a payment to someone, have not received my product customer service tells me there is nothing they can do because they have no idea information on the guy. So here I am out of money
Easy to use, and faster to transfer money to another person (when you have a default account set in Wallet) than most bank options like Popmoney. I'm not sure what Google gets out of it since they don't charge to use it, but I'll keep using it as long as it stays easy to use and free.
