Thank you Google , for updating and providing support on this much needed app. I love the updates + the new features and I appreciate the detail that Google has provided. Please stop hating on Google. I was an original grand Central customer and ever since Google took over I have had a feeling of confidence that Google would keep this service alive forever as promised. I going to hold you to that Google - as a ever day subscriber I have grown to love and depend on the excellent and flawless quality of the phone calls and always delivered text. The new MMS feature directly from the GV App has made me more than happy. Thank you Google. And please keep this service alive.

Google Voice USE to be a Fantastic application awhile ago. The past Several "Updates have completely RUINED this application." Also there should be a Much Easier way to delete messages with out having to do several things to delete anything. Also you should be able to change color of contact's etc. GOOGLE PLEASE Read The MANY Great Reviews Here And PAY ATTENTION For A Change. Google Your Company Really Needs To LISTEN To The People Who Are Using Your VOICE APP!!!

Contacts cannot be forwarded from iPhone. Other iPhone data shows a filetype not supported notification. I am hearing an echo (a repeat a couple seconds later ) of what I just said, more and more often when using Voice. Any ideas? I constantly have to resubmit my password to authenticate the account. It's becoming tedious fast. Moto x pure user

Here are a few issues that need fixing. You.need to add the option of deleting multiple numbers in the call log on the Android phone, as you have it on a computer. Secondly, the interface to switch between phone numbers within the Google voice app on Android, isn't easy. It use to allow switching accounts and thus, phone numbers, relatively quickly. Please fix this and I would be more than happy to give 5 stars

Why retire hangouts when Voice isn't ready? Why refuse to let us set voice as the default SMS app? Google gives no communication on its plans for voice and ignores critical features while pushing updates like "high-contrast conversation bubbles". Visually-impaired people will not need accessibility features when the app doesn't work in the first place.

Activated it via the web interface online and it works perfectly. Any chance we'll get VOIP calling for google voice instead of having to use hangouts?The phone dialer app doesn't see the visual voice mails, but my messages are visible in the Google voice app. I am running Android 7.0

I've been using this app for a few years now and I love it. Easy to navigate and great features. I would like the widget back like the older version where you can see your call and message logs right on your home screen. Edit: Now that the widget is back, it's unusable except for the 3x1 size. That sucks. Please fix.

I have my family members that knows my carrier number for emergency purpose only. When they do call me on that number and I missed the call, the call goes to my GV voicemail, but it doesn't get logged that I missed the call. I would like to have my whole call log on the cloud but I can't if GV doesn't log the calls that were forward to my GV voicemail. I bet there's people that uses GV only for voicemail and they possibly don't want to have their missed calls logged. So with that said, I am wondering if there could be an option people could toggle on and off. On being that they would like to use GV only for voicemail and they don't wanna have all missed calls logged into the system and off being where that user wants all missed calls to be logged even when they have some people that knows their carrier number. I will increase my rating if you add this. ;-)

Please just add a dialpad within the app, so on the occasion you want to call from your Google voice number, you can more easily and practically do so. I don't want to select which number to call from before every single call, or toggle it on when I want to use my Google voice number and then back off. This is really annoying and tedious, as well as puzzling how such a rudimentary, simple feature was not part of the app from the beginning.

Having a hard time getting my voicemail transcribed through Google Voice. I have a Verizon Pixel and I opted out of the Verizon's Visual Voicemail. How do I get Google Voice to cooperate and display visual voicemail? It's worked fine on my other Android phones, even my Droid turbo when I first got with Verizon.

Something wrong with the recent update. International calls dialed from Android dialer were routed through Google Voice automatically (after enabling it in the settings page of course). but recently it's not working anymore and it's annoying. please fix this as soon as possible

It's been 5* up until recently & I didn't know where else to complain. I'm having texts not go through, which I'm sure happens with many texting methods. But the worst thing is that randomly, GV just won't open directly. By that, I mean when I click on the icon, it looks like it will open, then it closes. I can only open it by doing something like selecting a photo to share via GV from Photos. Then I have to cancel that operation and go ahead with my normal texting. I'm going to remove the app and reinstall it to see if that works. Simply restarting the phone hasn't worked.

Can not callout on my samsung J3. Love th free phone apps. Thanx Google Great job. PLEASE let us SIGN-OUT on mobile apps. Any phone snatcher can change my password then steal my identity with all my personal info from my phone. COMPLETLY UN-SECURE . PLEASE FIX! LET US SIGN OUT PLEASE!

This has potential to be very beneficial to me, but as it stands, I am having a ridiculously hard time just sending messages. This is happening whether on my PC or my phone app. I need to be able to send text messages for business, and only 50% of them have gone through.. By this, I mean that I can't even get a message through to my own father. Not only that, but I can't find ANY information or ways to contact support, without going to a forum that doesn't have any current information to help me. Please fix this and reach out to help me out. I can't do business like this.

This update has left me with a program that barely works. I am logged out afyer each interaction and now it wont update at all. I use this number for business, so I am unable to contact customers unless at a laptop. Which is exactly oppositr of what one needs with a mobile application. It gets worse by the day.

Unusable. New version keeps logging me out and then triea to log in to the WRONG account. When I do log into the Wrong account, it crashes the app. In the odd chance that it doesn't crash, it takes me to correct account - only to log me out next time I use it.

As often is the case with developers, they don't understand what is important to end users. I used to be able to make google voice my default messaging app... so basic a feature on the previous version yet they nerfed this version .... Not cool, Google, not cool! I used to be able to swipe left on any contact to text via Google voice and now my only options are everything but Google voice. Swiping right still allow me to call. So it's half good

Not allowed to even try this app as a Project Fi user. It just closes on me. Stuck with legacy Hangouts app. Don't understand point of all these separate messaging apps. Please consolidate efforts.

I'm rating the app changes and not the service. Still angry about the horrible UX flow in regards to deleting items. Multi-select with an accessible delete button would be helpful. Really glad the widget is back but using nova launcher with the widgets doesn't work. When trying to resize the 4x4 widget, it responsively shrinks to the smaller one. Still unusable.

The resurrected Google Voice app is much better than it used to be. We can now send and receive group MMS and pictures. I still have some issues, the longest conversation I have has stopped sending notifications and often disappears from the app.

The recent update sucks because they removed the widget and now i can no longer delete my text message threads all at once... They have to be deleted individually... Which sucks if you have several text messages. The software designers really messed up on this one. Design has gone from great to awful.

I've had, and loved, GV for almost 8 years, but now, not so much. Notifications for calls, voicemail, and texts (sound, vibrate, blinking light), including the phone ringing for incoming calls will NOT work if on WiFi, and sometimes not at all. As many phones are now using WiFi, this is a critical issue that must be acknowledged, addressed, and FIXED. Until then, if you're a WiFi person, don't download this app. S8

Google Voice is one of the best applications I've used. It has all the features I need. And I get my own number that sticks with me forever. Voicemail Transcripts, Recording Phone Calls, International Calling, etc. Good job devs!

Used to be great. Now it keeps logging me out of my account, asking me to log back in every time, to a different Gmail account, or it crashes. It's become very difficult to use. They need to fix this.

I've had my Google Voice number for over 7 years. So it was nice to see the update with MMS support and new interface. Reason I dropped 2 starts is because several months ago the notification light option was removed. As small as this may seem, I realize now how often I used it. And the fact that it's been so long and still not fixed is borderline pathetic. Once this is fixed it'll get 5 stars.

Horrible. Can't even get the app to load. It just opens and then the circle spins forever and never loads. Never got it to load, after many, many attempts, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Severe bug. Mixes avatar and name with random contacts. I assume from the name and avatar I am responding to x person but the software mixed the image with the phone number. Only within this app. You can only imagine how this can cause an issue. It happens constantly. Can send screen captures

The developer needs a button to DELETE ALL CALLS completely. Had voice messages left in my app and as of yesterday they all disappeared now reading "no voice messages" NUTS. Use it for businesses calls and smtms others as a second line.

Google keeps ruining things they've already mastered. Instead of just making it better and more easily interface able. Don't upgrade to this version all labels dissappear. You loose control of the app.

App worked fine on my Google Nexus Tablet (not a phone) until 5/24/17. Since then it will not connect to the servers for texts, call history and many settings. Worthless until I get it connected again.

I have 3 Google accounts on my phone. I have one account that does not have Google voice. The app continues to attempt to sign me into this account that does not exist. Love the Google voice service, glad the app FINALLY supports MMS, but the app is lacking in comparison to the awesomeness that is Google voice.

Use for voicemail. Always has me login then switch to my other Gmail account that I want to use. Never remembers I already logged in. If I change windows then it wants me to login again. smh. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, formatted phone no change. OnePlus 3 is my device.

Needs to be able to set Google Voice as the default app for messages. Otherwise, frequently texts get sent with the carrier number instead of the Google Voice number. Needs a dialler so you can actually make calls to people.

This app could be great, but it falls short. I've been using Google Voice ever since they purchased Grand Central many years ago. The single biggest issue has to do Google's extremely flawed messaging strategy. They almost had a completely integrated solution with Hangouts and then failed to evolve it. Then, in order to complete against Slack and others, changed removed Hangouts as "the" platform for messaging. Then they created several siloed apps with Allo, Duo, Android Message, etc. What a mess. If only Google Voice could be set as a default SMS app on Android, it would be good enough to buy time for Google to figure out their strategy and work through all the internal politics of having too many teams work against each other, instead of with each other.
