Works great in MS Word, my handwriting is awful but it seems to understand what I'm getting at in both Thai and English. However, for some of us who do Word and similar document apps, a TAB function key would be nice.

Wonderful app I was just wondering if Note 5 is worth the money for its pen features. I got my answer discovering this app :) It also has many other benefits like Making Less errors while Typing etc. One suggestion though, please add numeric values bar. Especially For the zero, as it is very hard to be written.

Not even close... No competition for samsung handwriting recognition. Writing same word three or more times and it still doesn't get it right. Not good.

Works well with Google native apps but doesn't seem to work with One Note word or excel as a keyboard replacement - unless I am missing something obvious.

Good I'm lefty and this works OK. I wish it wouldn't assume rarely used words before common words, and the emoticons have never worked. Still this is the best keyboard app I've used.

Great app. Works well in conjunction with Google Keyboard. The handwriting mode is a little jumpy compared to my Note 4 handwriting mode, but I'm very impressed. It works well with or without a stylus. The ability to swap back and forth from typing to writing with a push of a button is fantastic! Please add Holo White to the theme color options.

Almost perfect! I like to write in Japanese. And this app is amazing. However, I would like the option to switch from Hiragana to Kanji in the suggested words bar. For example, when I write the word まこと, I would like to have the option of 誠 show up. Also, if I were to write しょう I would like to see all the symbols that are pronounced as that come up as options like other Japanese dictionaries. Finally, I would like to be able to toggle between Ietters with left and right arrows on the screen.But, other than that, I love this app! Thank you! x

Good I need to be able to toggle back and forth between this and the regular keyboard, within the keypad, then Ill be pleased.

Every time I draw a line from right to left it erases the previous character. I can't write Japanese properly.

It's ok Works well but I can still type much faster on a Samsung keyboard. It's a nice feature but it isn't something you would need since typing is still faster than swiping your finger around doing handwriting.

The recent update on Tamil (Thamizh) language is horrible. The latest update resolved the issue, thanks. But no enter key available to use while in handwriting input mode.

cool but could be better I am attempting to write this review using this input method, however, the rate at which I wish to write is MUCH faster than the app can translate my handwriting into text. I find myself having to pause in the middle of my thought to let the app catch up, even in landscape view. As a few other reviews have mentioned, alaband.anenter outlon would be nice, (a tab button and an enter button). Overall, this app has plenty of potential, just not all the way there yet.

Interpretation works, UI could be better. The first I've tried that comes close to working, though it misinterprets more words than swiping on the keyboard, probably due to my handwriting. For me it's slower than using the keyboard, but oddly satisfying. With practice I might get quicker. Has some issues: ▪The controls (return, backspace etc) are too small and too close together to comfortably use quickly, which slows down input.▪When backspacing a newly completed word, it deletes one letter at a time, which is very slow. 7" Tablet using Android 4.2.2.

Nice App but In My Huawei Ascend P7 Malayalam Font not in the list. I tried Reinstalling the app several times no use now ?

very useful app I really liked the way this app works and makes typing a fun. For me this is better than any other keypads. Hindi typing support enhances its utility. Even this review is written using this typing tool. धन्यवाद।

Good enough, but frustrating Recognizes most characters, even cursive, although it can't Iearn my handwriting. Worst: the recognized word list wastes space with nonsense words and spacing and capitalization variations. You cannot undo words, only strokes. Online recognition is too slow to be useful, even with 4G-LTE. Doesn't recognize special characters out of context. Capitalization of non-initial words is impossible. Every language shows up as a separate keyboard - a waste of space. Latvian keyboard is hard to use.

Nice but not efficient It is a good app, it reads my writing very well! It would probably be more useful on a tablet though because there is more room to write words. Also the takes about a half a second to process what you wrote, making typing on a keyboard faster and more efficient.

Noticeably better than Samsung's pretty good handwriting and miles better than Swype's, which is abysmal. Problems: -window a bit big and no option to resize -tends to be inaccurate about numbers, spacing, and capitalization -can't delete mistakes by crossing them out unlike Samsung

Really good, could use some improvements This is a great start for handwritten input. Word prediction and spelling could use some work. A better way to capture spacing. A solid hard return. Better emogi access. Cursor keys. The input is a little slow because of the pauses needed between words. I am an old Graffiti Pro fan. I would love to see that style of menu access here. Their interface was quick and smooth. Their support for various punctuations was unparalleled. I grew up writing long hand. I really miss the intimacy of that method of writing. I find my thoughts flowing more easily with hand writing. Fabulous start Google! I'm looking forward to seeing this app improve!

The best so far. Recognition works even with my scrawl, and punctuation and spacing is very intuitive. It would be great if it had transparency and a no-fullscreen option in landscape mode. Would like to be able to resize the input area in portrait too. A "new-line"/carriage-return key would also be great (would make this review more legible). When pressing and holding the buttons at the top, sliding to the choice and releasing feels more intuitive.

Bad layout, annoying tooltips The keyboard is great for handwriting recognition , the best really. Works great but for the place met of the enter button and the hyper annoying tool tip popups

Superb.... അടിപൊളി... Very good handwriting recognition... Easy to switch from keyboard to handwriting... Loads up pretty smoothly...but speed can be improved... മലയാളം recognition is very nice...

Not quite as good as 'Myscript Stylus' (beta) Downloaded this handwriting input app by Google just so to check if it performs just as well or improves on the best handwriting input app in Playstore, 'Myscript Stylus beta' (at least from my own experience). It turns out this handwriting app is much worse than stylus beta. Hopefully handwriting apps will get better in terms of speed and word recognition in the future. For now I'm sticking with 'Myscript Stylus' (beta).

Punjabi typing crashes frequently ,is unstable App crashed while typing in Punjabi handwriting, hardly after typing one or two lines, the recognition works pretty good for a start, but eventually what is bothersome is the fact that crashing of Punjabi handwriting keyboard makes a person lose the entire typed text, and one has to again frustratingly start from scratch

It's Ok it would be better if it had a floating option. it doesnt "work" on a 12inch tablet if it takes up 1/3 rd of the screen

Great app for an old Palm Pilot Guy Just downloaded it and love it. Keyboards are always a problem with my fat fingers . This app is great. Wrote their view using it.

Most Useful My name is Sabyasachi Banerjee .I live ln Tollygunge Kudghat .I am practicing handwriting in google type Writing It's just awesome . It Saves lots of time . I dont have to struggle toggling between letters as in Virtual keyboard . I can write as long as I want . I dont feel tired at all . It, Just understands each letter of mine. It requires and a little patience to understand its mechanism and how it works . It is Super Smooth and works like a charm . Auto Error rectification is pretty accurate .I m lovin

Hurrah! It's a real shame that this doesn't receive the same update love as some of googles other apps as it needs a couple of tweaks to make it perfect!

Great App I really like this app. It works a lot better than I thought it would. The only problem is l don't know how to enter usernames/Passwords that include letters and numbers without it adding a space automatically.

If this was a full screen overlay for smartphones it would be more usable. See Nokia's Z-launcher for their use of UI.
