My go to for mobile For me, Inbox has comfortably taken the #1 spot for mobile email. It has come a long way since release, and I even find myself using it on the desktop more and more frequently. The pin and snooze features make things especially easy to find, though the bundling and visible attachments already make it easy.
Works OK. It's weird not having a mark as read/unread function so I'm still getting used to it. I DON'T like how I have zero control over syncing. I like conserving battery power by turning sync off throughout the day. Inbox is on auto sync and apparently cannot be disabled or altered. I can get around the new mail features, but not the sync. I understand why it's there, but if I'm not saving emails for later (on mobile or desktop), there's no reason to constantly sync
If you like labels - don't use this app How to you apply two labels to a new mail? - How do you avoid mail disappearing when you apply labels to it? - How do you see which labels are applied to a conversation? - How do you search the label list search to quickly open or apply a certain label without scrolling through my hundreds of labels? - How do you save an attached MP3 to Google Drive? - How do you keep the mail open when you scroll to the bottom so that it doesn't close? - Does "bundle" mean 'Show in top'? - Are there more than one bundle?
Google STILL Doesn't Get It Changed to a bold font as default on my 7 edge phone. Now it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell new email from read emails since bold attribute is used to ID new email. New & read emails remain in bold font. The workaround is to use another email client that clearly distinguishes new from old emails. Inbox was great until this issue. Hello... Anybody home?
Makes life so so much easier I didn't know that this app is what i need. It has features that at first was kind of confusing for me, and thought that i did not need those. but when i got used to it, reading, finding, trashing, and organizing emails have been so much easier!!! I love all the features it has, like sending emails to 'done', the reminder and snooze feature, the automatic bundle, easy deletion, the pinning feature, and so on. I just hope google will retain its simplicity!
Just a little suggestion I'd love the "new mail" count to be in a colored circle to the right side of a bundle tab. Currently it's next to the name of a bundle, in a small rectangle, which is not that visible. Moreover, there's an empty space towards the right side of all bundles. Why not put the counter there? At least add this customization to the settings, please.
