can be further improved Its a great keyboard, but its not very user friendly to typing on. one of the problem is, when i want to switch from typing English to Chinese, I'll have to press backspace once or even twice in order to get the word suggestion to disappear and get the tab. would be nice to separate those two for ease of typing two language in a sentence.
Turning off alternative symbols? Why don't offer the option to turn off alternative symbols (variants)? I don't like the keyboard looking so messy with long-press to select alternative symbols. The Google English keyboard (as a separate app) does offer an opt-out option. Please consider adding this customisation option.
All of a sudden I have syncing problem again. The sync button is greyed out with an error message like "sync is not available with work account". I just don't know what it means because my phone doesn't have any so-called work account installed. Yes factory reset un-greys the button, but since it's not even a workaround so let's not talk about that.. Syncing is such a powerful feature of google Cantonese keyboard. I could not but detach 1 star off just because this feature is no longer available. It's really sad.
extremely unfriendly for elder and kid The stroke for handwriting disappear too fast (only ~3sec when type speed set to very slow), which is unfriendly for elders and kids. esp those word that has many stroke, eg, 靈, which 3sec not enough for them to react (some of them will panic when those stroke on writing-pad disappear) .
No T9 input Good to add stroke input. But still no T9 input method. Please add 9 key keyboard! Some cantonese words like 㗎and can't be type on stroke keyboard... please fix. Also, Why are the arrangement for the words had changed?!
Pinyin not correct after last update A lot of mistakes in pinyin in both yale and Cantonese. E.g. 遲, can't show up words even i tried "chi", or "ci" or "qi". Had to change to handwriting. Pls fix
