Needs to work faster There should be more detailed instructions. ie drive past 3 lights & turn left instead of "drive for 1/4 of a mile and......" Or while on the freeway seeing that in California all exits are not marked with numbers and are identifiable mostly by names this should be taken into account. There should also be 1 or 2 steps post the last instruction given during trips. ie turn left, drive for 3 blocks & turn right etc etc. These things would make maps safer overall & would reduce traffic some in SF at least.
Good app needs some more corrections Thanksfor considering language pronunciation corrections. Many places there is no road but it shows road. Many No entry are shown as entry. I have ended up paying panelties for entring into No entry zone.. it nees to remember pur regular routes instead of ending us with adventures (sometimes too narrow roads as time saver!!)
DATA HOG. BUT WORKS GREAT I keep this app in the app section of my phone and sign out . But when I need it, this is one of the best smart phone GPS' than any I've ever seen. Absolute location. Real life view (that's really cool) it will spin 3D, and show your location. Even if your inside a building. You show up in the building as a red dot IN THE BUILDING. But it takes up a huge amount of storage. Almost 300mb.
Evolving and getting better It doesn't have a lot of the features that the old Maps did, like zoom buttons instead of having to pinch, distance-measuring tools, and being able to navigate to a destination without having to Get Directions first. However, Google has integrated Navigation into Maps and made it feel like it flows much better, and they're constantly adding support for other stuff within Maps like Waze or Uber.
Fantastic app I luv every feature on this app. Can find food, entertainment, specific places. Can see reviews and even can take you there either on foot or in your car. Has plenty of pictures to share and people can even upload their own pictures at places. I wish more would edit wrong places or info and rate and share experiences, but i think i am the only one who does this.
Um not sure Ok been using this for a while now and I'm totally disappointed. First things is why, if I have a massive awesome galaxy note 5 don't don't ALL the maps install on my device? It seems like every (freaking) Google service isn't install AT ALL it just runs from a server, online. I go places where there is absolutely no service and have a hard time getting back. If the actual maps were on our devices it would be perfect. Sorry Google
