I do not like the new update at all. I travel on public transport for my job and the new update is ruining my experience of using Google maps. It no longer has the function to speak when it's time to change transport and no longer has the ability to check a different route while still being in the current route. When you try to check a alternative route, it stops the current route which is very very tedious. Please bring back the old public transport features and it's getting very annoying

Google Maps is too data-heavy to use with mobile internet abroad, needs 5G or WiFi to work. Not very good when you're trying to see what else you can do in the area when plan A doesn't work (and sometimes plan B doesn't either), or you have some extra time. Need to make Google Maps lighter so it can be used when you don't have 5G or wifi. Maybe it tries to be too many things at the same time, and judging from the reviews, it's not doing it very well.....

I used Google maps today! And it was my worst experience ever 😞 Whilst I was looking at the map, it was impossible to see what direction I needed to travel in, I was at a junction with multiple exits and the map was even upside down making it impossible to see. So after I had obviously taken the wrong turn and travelled three miles down the wrong road I pulled over and switched to Waze, I will not be making the same mistake again so I will be uninstalling it.
