Suggestions: 1) 1-hand operation to unzoom 2) update route w/o having to activate navigation (shows time left) 3) Bring back Google labs (distance estimation) 4) w/ search, option to filters results 5)used to be white dots on Google maps mobile that indicated when a change in route occurred. 6) Instead of giving a rating, just to leave a tip (price quotes) 7) app pop up when arrive to give suggestions/ratings. 8) Integrate Google offers, groupon, etc. 9) include local parking in trip time, and parking place

No other app is needed. Google Maps does it all!! I used to use Life360 for location sharing, but then you just added the same option! And its far more precise. I would give 10 stars if i could. Thanks so much! You have just become THE go-to for everything. Thanks again & keep up the good work.

I use this app quite often, by and large it is great! However, when you choose an alt. route that is scheduled to take a few minutes longer than the shortest, it will say "found shorter route, press accept". I press denied, then a few moments later you get the same audible message. This continues until your chosen route becomes the shortest way. Very distracting. It would be nice if there was a convenient switch in the app. to choose "no or limited interstate" use. Some times I like to just enjoy the back roads and see the country.

Its very good but sometimes its very heavy to open app (lagging, hanging esssu) And then finding exact location... Some time not provided properly location wher m i... 😴😴😴😡😒. But still its very helpful... Anf one more. Route map give opto to select own path. Everyone don't know the names place n areas.... They only fine on map... Try to solve that bug's👌👌👌👌 Thanks

Best navigation software for Android. Precise maps and excellent driving calculations. Few things still missing to make it navigation app without competition... like speedometer, speed and red-light cams. That would make it superb in every way. If we could merge Waze and Google maps that would be bullseye :-)

Power drain I love Google Maps but lately, my phone has been drained faster than it can charge. The chief suspect is this app. I initially blamed it on my ageing battery but I've now learned others are having the same issue. Otherwise, it is better than any satnav I have personally come across and its free.

You take forever after announcing it to actually roll it out and now that it's baked into the app it's unavailable even in a country that had it years ago? Really guys? Come on! Do better! Since the last update, it's not working anymore. It starts slowly (~1min) and can't find my location. After a while it finds it though, but than it starts to jump from my real location to another random location. I've rated it 3 stars because it was good and i'm pretty sure Google will do something about it.

After over 3 years, it suddenly lost the ability to recognize the road to my work parking lot for navigation purposes. It shows up on the map, but no longer has the ability to navigate it. I have sent feedback repeatedly, but to no avail. And since the app came with my phone, I can't uninstall it. Joy. It used to be a great app. Now it's a useless waste of space that gives me zero usable information when trying to get to/from work.

three times now the alternate route suggestions have been a disaster. Traffic jam heading south on Interstate 15 today and the alternate route sent me and several others on a barely passable dirt road of which one poor fellow was stuck in the sand. unbelievable! Where are the hell do they get this data?

Why do I have to agree or disagree every time I open the friggen App? Maps sucks in many cities. Telling me to make a turn 3 blocks past where I should have turned. STICK with GARMIN. GARMIN is used on aircraft, ships and many forms of commercial and general travel. You will not find Google maps driving planes or ships for a long time because they are too overdrive with profit and do not care for the users. Oh snap, government.

Why is it such an impossible feature to implement simply pressing on businesses and bringing up their information? Believe it or not, people use Maps to see the details of a business (e.g.: operating hours, reviews) just as much as navigation. Why make bringing up that information hard as hell. Havig to cancel navigation, go all the way back to the main page, then make the same search AGAIN. plz googlez be user-friendly. Thanks.

The app reroutes without telling me even when I am on the right track. Sometimes instead of letting me choose a route, it will supply only 1 route. Often times asking me to go through small streets and making tons of turns to avoid the highway. I got lost for three hours on a mountain. Not fun.

1. Missing road closures on obviously major roads all of the time and not showing traffic there that's already been there for at least 20-30 minutes. 2. Doesn't beat traffic anymore, only uses major roads, boulevards, etc., doesn't use drives in between anymore. (it's not a big rig nav app, it's a small passenger car nav app, ok?). 3. Tries leading onto alternative parallel routes with absolutely no use to do that - probably to distribute traffic evenly between the roads. This is something that could be welcomed in self driving cars, but not by the humans used to familiarize themselves with certain roads.

Don't listen to the reviews its laggy af on a Galaxy S6 and 4g. I miss so many exits because the tining is so off. It zooms in and tells you one step multiple times and if you go off course it becomes even more laggy trying to calculate a new route...get a gps instead. Trust me.

Terrible update. It gives me an additional step before letting me see the list of directions. Also it tends to take me down very inefficient and overly complicated detours. Most recently tried to direct me to the nearest gas station in an unfamiliar area, and we passed a different one on the way. Used to be a better app.

Just updated and the app won't open completely. It just loads with a weird circle and cursor (?!) and then gets stuck there. THEN it won't close and freezes my whole phone. I tried to open it several times and it just doesn't work. I'm going to uninstall unless I get an update asap to get it working properly again.

HUGE battery drain while navigating. Even plugged into car charger phone will not keep full charge while navigating. Does not show current speed and speed limit. Instead of adding features to expand app Google keeps adding junk. New suggest photo feature is Incredibly ANNOYING. Latest APP is so INCREDIBLY slow it is a disgrace. AS USUAL GOOGLE IS CLUELESS

Needs updating IMMEDIATELY. What I mean by updating is that I live in Hull and it's all changed in the town centre now as all work has just about finished revamping the city. There's a road in the town centre that you can't even drive down now only walk on, so that'll confuse people. So Google get your car out and get driving it.

We can't figure out how to give any of our saved favorites a meaningful name. Or did Google forget that basic feature???? It's total useless to just show a mile-long list of addresses that we don't recognize. The 'share location' option is awful. Only updates every few MINUTES producing results that are MILES away from a person's true location. Useless again, Google.

Too many screw ups lately. Missed exits, no prompts, slow and laggy start. Anything and everything that made this better than other navigation apps have been lost in last 2 3 months and this is coming from hard-core Google and Droid fan. It's almost sad.

Very disappointed with this app. I hate apps that perform differently on different platforms. The maps feature for route planning 8(personal maps) is flaky and pretty much useless on the phone. Fine via browser. I've used it for a month (because I thought fulI integration with tasks would make planning eady) but has given me incorrect directions twice. I use HERE maps and that hasn't happened on that app for years.

Been using Google Maps for a year and a half and it still sends me to back alleys and even the highway, when the street in need to go to is clearly not the highway. And why does the map not update when there is construction? These mistakes never happen with Waze. Come on Googe!!

What a terribly glitchy app! Talk about not being there when you need it most! I literally cannot use this app as of right now! It gives me the directions and then my little blue dot is glitchily stuck on the map (in what is techically grass...) And refuses to move without glitchy jumps...unbelievable Google! If you are going to rob me of all my information at least provide the services that you promise! Sheesh!

I always use it in my city navigations , amazingly helpful especially in new cities. Two missing points: 1- offline navigation limitations. 2- Unclear navigation when a bridge is above a parallel road (can you zoom and show a sign of a bridge?)

I live in Montreal where most of the streets have French names, and the turn by turn anglophone voice navigation instructions are brutal to listen to with nearly every francophone street name completely butchered in English. Although not nearly as good as Google maps, the BlackBerry 10 maps / navigation app was excellent in pronouncing French street names although the navigation instructions were in English. BlackBerry has very successfully managed to seamlessly integrate both English and French voice instructions into one cohesive experience which I truly hope that Google can replicate. In fact, I'm surprised this hasn't yet been addressed. Consider picking up a BB10 phone, trying it out and seeing what I mean for yourselves! Thanks

I miss the "directions" list being one tap away from when I'm in the middle of navigation (now have to tap the white bar at bottom > Directions). But also, please please provide real release notes, it's crummy that you don't, they ought to be treated as a true requirement -- esp with an app from Google!!

Terrible and almost dangerous pathing in south Baltimore when heading to the bay bridge. From butchers hill it sends you either through the harbor tunnel (long, expensive and unnecessary) and the alternative it offers is driving east and taking the key bridge (another expensive toll). Then both of these tell you to take some absurd way to get to 50, randomly cutting out and saying to take i97 NORTH. The proper, shortest, and fastest way would be to drive to where the convention center and stadium are, exit to the beltway there, and take i97 south. Sadly, there's no way to get the damn thing to route that out.

Excellent navigation app! Use it everyday. There's only one thing I'd like changed for a better experience (and a rating of 5 stars): please could you move or remove the 'sending audio to email button' from the top of the interface when navigating. If I would like to preview the turns on the route, I always end up hitting the 'sending audio' button instead because they're so close to each other (this is quite irratating). Thanks!

Get message to add my photos, or save to my timeline. Review. Cannot do if it does not show anything except Blank and black. Cannot use Navigation, get directions either

Have used this app for a long time and find it very efficient, but since the latest update, it says that I am in a random location. Luckily was only using the app to find the best route to a destination that I am familiar with, so didn't get lost! Please fix this, otherwise I cannot trust this app and it is also very unsafe in it's current state. Would give 5 stars otherwise.

I have been using Google Maps on Android Auto when I drive for Uber for a year and whenever I pressed the navagation button on Uber's App it would never transfer the address to Android Auto. I would always have to manually type it in or use voice. Now with the latest Google Maps update, they have finally fixed this issue. Now I can press the navigate button on Uber and it will automatically open on Android Auto's Google Maps. Took long enough but thanks Google.

CYCLING NAVIGATION IN THE COUNTRYSIDE IS TERRIBLE!!! It has repeatedly tried to take me and my road bike along muddy bridal ways, very rocky tractor tracks and along private farm roads, and even a river ford. I have destroyed my cleats, carried my bike, and clung to trees trying to follow its directions. It is very convenient for car directions but DANGEROUS for cycling directions!

Where are the bus routes? Trying to plan a trip to a Long Island beach. I can get train info, but need a bus for the rest. Nothing. I've used this app for buses before. Where did bus info go? Also, for more than a year, if I use GPS, then turn it off to save battery, the next time I use this app, it *always* asks me to turn GPS on. I just want to look up addresses, and very rarely use GPS with this app. If I need GPS, I'll turn it on. Why does this app ask if I want GPS on, every freaking time I use it after I've turned GPS off?

This app is the best GPS in the world, but it has its own flaws. The offline system is hard to work with and makes you wish you had Internet connection. I live in Iran and I know that it the government and their policies that restricted you from expanding the app's abilities in my country, but I want you to continue trying to make the app more useful in Iran... Why if we select an "object" like train station, hotel, shopping mall, whatever.., the Measure Distance option because not available. we have to select another point next to it to measure distance from.. WHY??? Its really really annoying!!! Honestly, the Maps.Me team is so much ahead of Google map. Although we can now pin location offline, we still can't add label to describe the location, limiting its usefulness.

every update makes this more and more complicated. I am driving FFS. phone is mounted on the dash. I don't have a bloody co pilot! lol! make it simpler! one finger UI and stop adding features that cover or pop up on screen. gps program = short and sweet
