Ratings and reviews

After being reliable for so long, the app recently has become unusable on several occasions. It seems to think there is a limited/poor connection, even when on strong WiFi or 5G. No other apps have had the same issue. This means it won't search for destinations or plot routes, rendering it useless. Restarting or reinstalling the app makes no difference, but it seems to update regularly.

Gets worse and worse. Used to be a great app you could always count on. The amount of times it's sent me the wrong way lately, or put me in the wrong lane at an island.. Just annoyances that put a lot of time on to your journey. Just feels they've taken a massive backwards step to me. Hopefully they fix these issues and it goes back to how it was.

Okay, so as a navigation tool, it is pretty good for driving, really good for public transport, but in walking mode, especially in built-up areas, it is all over the place. After a recent update, it started asking road status questions. These are distracting and so dangerous and can't be switched off. The issue of the app stopping in the car is an issue with Android Auto, not with Maps and relates to USB cable length, keep the cable very short. Overall, pretty good but could be better.
