I quite enjoy using this app for messenger. I like that you can personalize colours for different people, and that the interfaces are clean and fun. However, one thing I'd like to see is swipe navigation. It's one of the few features that i miss from my iPhone. I would love to be able to switch from one conversation to the "recents" list with a swipe right - simple navigation for when you're on the go!
the way picture messages are displayed makes it hard to find text and video messages that might be in line with the pictures. needs feature where you can automatically prune threads, so it doesn't get slower over time. no way to customize ui, and the default is horrible looking. too white, too much wasted empty space.
Right now I have to give it 2 stars because of issues I've found and researched on forums of other users having. I just got the Fossil Q wander smart watch and I can't reply to messages on it, but it gets the notification on my watch. I was able to reply before Android wear 2.0 updated. Now that I have 2.0 on the watch I only get the message "you are offline" anytime I try and reply. Please fix asap!
Anything more than basic text and here in the UK you get charged, main reason for popularity of WhatsApp. So only use this app for basic text with elderly relatives who still don't have smart phones. If it could be merged into allo then best of both worlds and would increase allo user base
Loved this app until the most recent update. Moto X Pure Edition no longer shows notifications on the lock screen. I have reinstalled and rebooted several times which means it's not my phone it's the app. Please fix this issue! There's no point having a messaging app that doesn't have notifications. *Edit 7/26/17 - hooray you fixed the Moto notifications. But why are all the Gifs now grainy? Also, why do I keep getting error codes on messages like 65536?
I would use this more if I could get rid of the random colors and make all message threads one uniform color or theme. Changing each conversation bc it chooses bright pink, purple, or orange gets to be annoyingly tedious.
