I have a pixel 6. I listen to audiobooks using the "files" app because it's easy to navigate to the files. Multiple times a day, it stops playing the current track, and when I hit play it will skip back a track. I'm really unimpressed the default file system can't reliably play audio. It's pretty disappointing that I have to download another app to listen to some mp3's. Mp3 has been around for 20 years. Googles flagship can't reliably play an MP3 without additional software. Files app is still way too restrictive for the sake of material design. Very poor usability. I actually switch to Samsung for now. More functionality. Both still missing the option to select folders and not just files when uploading like you can on desktop. Would appreciate anyone who can make this change. I cannot imagine how hard dev work might be, especially when you want to do things, but I hope you can make the app as close to a desktop experience as possible. Thanks.

Beautiful interface, super fun animations, and very well branded with the little character that shows up when you delete things. Also great that there's only one Files app because for a bit there were 2 on Pixel phones. A next step might be further integration with Google Drive and Photos or something. It's weird to have multiple interfaces for files and different routes of access. Sometimes when I'm sharing or uploading it goes directly to this app, other times it goes to Photos.
