Right now giving it a 1 star. My photos keep duplicating on the app but when looking on computer they aren't duplicated. If I delete one of the duplicates in the app it deletes the whole photo from the computer but leaves one on my app and the original device(my phone). I don't know what is happening!
Reducing to two stars. Unable to set backup to happen only when plugged in. Can't understand why they removed this feature. I'm not interested in using my precious limited battery for backups or slowing down my phone after I take pictures. Why would anyone remove this feature? Crazy
It would be a little better if it was easier easier to navigate, create, and find things. I feel like there's always a "hoop" to jump through in order to find something. For example: When I share photos with my mom, all the photos I have ever shared with her should all be in spot (similar to how the camera photos are all in on spot). I mainly share photos with her when we're on vacation, but I'm only able to find the most recent photos I've shared with her, and not the ones from years, months or weeks past. (We vacation a lot).
Very powerful tool. Needs a tutorial on all the cool things it can do. My two favorite features are I can select what photo folders get backed up so I don't have to keep everything. Under the main menu I've used the Device Folders option to backup my Instagram folder but not my Twitter or Swarm folder. My other favorite feature is when my device runs low on storage it will prompt me to safely delete photos that have been backed up. This allows me to safely delete photos from my phone. Update: I'm really liking the new enhanced sharing features.
Slight problem, somewhere along the way I had to start uninstalling and then reinstalling the app don't know why but it stopped uploading my pictures and I don't like to have my backup set on. Other than that I wish it could separate my videos from pictures when I do have it set to on so I can just backup my pictures.
Perfect. There is no better back up. I've used this from the beginning when it was google plus photos. People complaining of duplicates on their phone and not backing up etc are most definitely not reading the clear and simple instructions. Google have made a great effort not to take over your pics. Settings will need to be read through to ....you guessed it .... Set up your device to auto save etc. I use this on my phone and tablet. Only backing up when on charge. And via WiFi. This way I can delete any bad pics before I charge and they will back up when I go to bed in the evening.
