It works great. I really appreciate the easy to use interface, but I have one issue. I'm making the switch from Spotify to Google podcast, and I'm able to find all my shows. I'm up to date on my Spotify shows and there's no way for me to go into my podcast on Google podcast and mass select all the ones I have already listened to as played. So I have to mark them as played individually and there is hundreds of episodes to do that for. If we can get an update for that that would be amazing!

Update: the problem was fixed the next day. Still only adding one star since they're getting rid of the app. I always loved this app. It was perfect for downloading, then listening offline. Ever since the notice came out that it will be going away next year, I can't download half of my podcasts. I've had an issue downloading an episode here and there in the past, but it would download after a couple days. Now it's been nearly a week that I've been having trouble with several.

I like the interface. I have been able to find all of the podcasts I typically listen to. The daily news is a nice feature. Update: I'm not sure what's going on with the app, but the que and auto play has been on the frits - rather than playing the next item on the playlist it keeps repeating the same item regardless of what the settings are. This is frustrating when you have to go into the app every time to change episodes. Please fix, I've begrudgingly been using Spotify for the time being

What's new

Google Podcasts now supports adding podcasts by RSS feed! Open the app and navigate to Activity, and then to the Subscriptions tab. Select the three dots in the top right corner and then "Add by RSS Feed." Once added, the podcast will appear along with your other subscribed shows, including at the top of the Home tab.
