This is a great, simple podcast player. I really like it overall. I wish, however, that the ability to swipe left/right on the current episode to be able to go to the previous/next were still there. Removing that feature is pretty crippling because it forces me to back out to the main list, and if the show has a lot of episodes, it's pretty inconvenient ---------2023 edit: This bug never got fixed, and now the app is being killed. So that's great

This was the only podcast app I've used for a few years now but now, all of a sudden, I have no audio. I can get captions but I'm usually listening to podcasts when I can't be looking at my phone so now it has become totally useless. you would think google would have the best podcast service but... Anyway there is nowhere you can find any reliable info and the all-knowing Google can't help me. I guess I'll go to Spotify or something, although I've tried to avoid that.

I'm very sad that Google podcasts is shutting down. I've tried Amazon Music and Spotify for podcasts and I just don't like either one of them. I've been using Google podcasts for over 4 years now. I love how it has evolved, and while I have on occasion experienced glitches, they have been resolved fairly quickly every time.

What's new

Google Podcasts now supports adding podcasts by RSS feed! Open the app and navigate to Activity, and then to the Subscriptions tab. Select the three dots in the top right corner and then "Add by RSS Feed." Once added, the podcast will appear along with your other subscribed shows, including at the top of the Home tab.
