The Google One app lets you automatically back up your phone and manage your Google cloud storage. • Automatically back up the important things on your phone, like photos, contacts and messages using your free 15 GB of storage that comes with every Google account. If you break, lose or upgrade your phone, you can restore everything to your new Android device. • Manage your existing Google account storage across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos.
Upgrade to a Google One membership to get even more: • Get as much storage as you need for your important memories, projects and digital files. Choose the plan that works best for you. • Get extra protection for your phone with a VPN that encrypts your online activity and helps keep your personal information safe • Get exclusive access to Google experts for help with all of Google’s products and services. If you have a question or need assistance, our team of Google experts is just a tap away. • Share your storage with up to 5 additional people. This gives each person access to more storage from your plan, but not access to each other’s files.

Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.

Favorite feature of VPN: it will several times a day bork the connection. All your data services will stop functions. You won't know it happens, you just won't be able to access the internet. You can't restart the VPN or app to fix it. You have to restart your phone. On my second phone restart of the day today, and it's just past noon. Becoming a garbage bonus feature.

Waste of an app - it's the exact information available through your account settings. Worse, it's a massive advertisement to buy more storage. The most obvious thing lacking: a RESTORE button. What's the point of having a backup - and the app has all kinds of backup options - if I can't RESTORE the data??! I wanted to use a backup to transfer data to another phone;. nope, not an option without a hard reset. Huh?!! Even if I wanted to use the backup on the same phone. Nope, hard reset.

Great, so far. You can't trust "what you don't know" - but no cause for concern. Google One does so much for so little cost, and theyve been friendly and supportive with anything I've asked about. I know there are other benefits I have yet to explore, so after at least a year now, I'm totally satisfied and glad I signed up. Also: I only needed minimum storage plan of 100gb, but the notice reads "You have 4 more years of storage left" 🤣
