I use this app every day for my job as I deal with international travelers. its worked well overall, but recently its gotten worse. every 20 or 30 minutes its like the app starts to freeze up, typing anything out becomes laggy and I either have to close and reopen the app to restore functionality or the app crashes all together. this isn't a huge deal, as the restart is quick, but still annoying none the less. giving it 3 out of 5 stars for now, until whatever this bug is, is resolved

Easy to accurately translate even the most obscure languages, like Xhosa. I know this because I have used it when speaking with those who don't speak my language. We pass the phone back and forth to read what the other person is saying. Every time I do this, I ask them if it is accurate, not only in what it says visually but the syntax of what is being said. It has the tendency of being formally correct, not so much colloquially. But, being understood properly It's worth its weight in gold ‼️😘

Translate is a phenomenal tool for traveling abroad. Between voice translation, camera translation and just basic typing translation, it made my trip to Japan worlds easier. The one thing I would change about it (and the reason I only gave it 4 stars) is, when it gives definitions for words, it should give them in the language that you're trying to translate *to*, not *from*. Defining words from a language I am not fluent in, in that same language, is not useful.
