The app has potential, however lacks the ability to save/download boarding passes. It seems so essential and should cover air travel and train boarding passes at minimum. At the moment, just a toy....

Well.. it all looked good until I tried to add the countries/cities I would be visiting inbetween the inbound flight and departure flight. So I would visiting 4 countries by bus tour inbetween.. added them and they mysteriously disappeared twice! E.g. land in San Jose travel to La Fortuna then to Monteverde and depart from Guatemala. Manually added La Fortuna and Monteverde. It would delete La Fortuna and Monteverde. But keep the 2 cities via plane that it got from my email.

It lacked many essential features for a trip planner. First, you can't add your only boarding pass for instance. It would be great if it allows adding PDF files for the boarding passes. Also it would be great if it gives proactive updates on the flight . It also takes so much time to sync with Gmail. And one big set back is that if you want to keep history you always need to keep all the booking emails in your inbox. For me I like to archive my emails and hence I lose history on the app. Needs a lot of enhancements

I used this for my Honeymoon trip (+13 destinations) and worked superbly. It was really helpful having all the reservation and important information in one place, within a simple timeline. The offline mode is quite good because I did not have internet in most countries. Loved the app as everything was automatically updated through gmail emails. Sure there is a lot of space for improvement and a hell lot of potential. But I still recommend it for what it is right now. Great job Google, keep improving this App!!

It's pretty nice having a planner that integrates smoothly with Gmail. In some cases im surprised by how efficiently it can trim down details. It can also take some more refinement, and let you add stuff like PDFs for boarding passes. Or at least it should let you import specific details from you emails. For instance Google inbox bundles up emails for trips, that you could then import to Google trips app.

Decent started app if you know where you're travelling to and need to make plans there. It could really benefit from having a notes section, an itenary overview (maybe calendar style where you can see where you're going to be on a particular date and even add in times for events.. e.g. shopping day).

Had high hopes for this so was a big let down. I entered one flight details (heathrow to Keflvik) Google tells me the flight time is 27 hours - just hope Icelandair aircraft have fuel to stay aloft for that length of time! Then as I am going onto Canada where I am travelling a lot by train (coast to coast) I wanted to put in details of my VIA rail bookings (seat and cabin numbers) but the App only lets one put flight details noting else.

I like the idea but the execution is not good. App is really limited. You cannot add your own "things you'd like to do". Eg. seasonal events, festivals. You're forced to "follow" opening hours. Also I'd like to be able to put budget and set prices for different things. But personally I think that before Google decide to do something about it - the app will be discontinued.

I did not know you could mess up a simple app so much. It takes a miracle for it to auto detect confirmation emails, and when it does, it splits a single trip into five. This is fine, but there is no option to combine the trips in the app or to assign emails to particular trips or to even modify the flight info for an incorrectly detected flight. This app treats you like a moron and forces you to delete all your trips and start from scratch. If you like typing simulators, this app is for you.

Awesome app keeps everything in one conocimiento place. I like that we can download the location maps and use offline. One thing I would like to have added, is the ability to add attraction reservations. It can be a luau, a sports game, a concert, a tour. I think that would add a whole extra star on the reviews! Thanks Google

When i plan a trip, it forces a time to spend at each attraction. So 10 pins, 6 minutes walk between each is an _entire_ day, even if you only WANT to spend 5 minutes in each place. And e.g. moulin rouge cannot be added to a morning trip if you are there in the morning as it insists that you are the when it isn't open. Only want to see the darn windmill, not the show! Tries to be too clever as stops new pins , when at most it should only warn you. Should Have option to add a duration to each pin, don't force it. Really annoyed. Also changes starting place/pin when you add as new pin, useless for getting off at a certain train stop, or starting from your hotel. -1 stars

After using for about an hour, I found out that this app allows me to view, save and mark attractions then creates a plan for my future trip easily. However, photos of each place should be added more to let users imagine the places easier. Overall satisfaction is great.

1) Unable to recognize Airbnb reservations. 2) Once only the "to" leg of a flight reservation was recognized. In this state the so-called "AI" is more an obstacle than help. A somewhat dumber app would be better.

all i want is something to help me know WHEN and WHERE on my trip. this app assumes hotels and flights so its not good for driving. sad since google maps is so common.

I'll update to 5 stars once functionality is added to share trips with others so itineraries and updates can be shared. Just add the ability to allow others to approve/deny request. Overall it helps organize and shares ideas/reviews.

The idea is great but when I go to Daily Plans it automatically makes a plan for you. I would love to be able to out in stop #1, 2, and 3 myself. I know which order I would like to do things. That way it is a true itinerary planner rather than just a slew of confusing info.

This is a good app for keeping hotel and flight information in one place. It's also good for searching for places of interest while you are abroad. Another good thing about this app is that you can download the information, to be able to use even when offline. Some features which would make this a five star app, would be the ability to manually add other reservations such as car rental, restaurant reservations, activities, ect since currently you can only add hotel and flight. Another feature that I wish was added, is the ability to share places of interest with other people. Another nice feature would be to be able to save your passport, boarding pass and other tickets in the app and photos of the holiday. However, on the whole it's a great app and my favourite travel app from the ones I've tried. Thank you Google!

Great new and improving app. Best way to use this make sure your reservation emails are on gmail. Also find any attractions in Google Maps. Star them. Those reservations and attractions automatically get categorized into your trips near those locations. Still needs to improve on daily itineraries but this app is well on its way to being best in class

Day planning needs work. It doesn't give you any flexibility when it comes to creating a day plan. Tried to create a day plan that included driving an hour to another city and it wouldn't let me add anything from City #2. Until they improve this it only gets 1 star.

Can't delete reservation that it added automatically erroneously. This made there separate reservations from one resort stay in one room, one confirmation.. I want to get rid of the two extra but can't.

VERY inconvenient to put together a Day plan based on purely your saved places. Basically impossible. Why? Why does the app want to know what I want to do better than me?

There's a lot of competition out there, and this app is not ready to compete yet. It can snag the flight info and does a good job of gathering local info, but the car rental and hotel was manual entry for me and the entry was not easy to navigate either.

I wish it would search emails setup in Gmail app as well. I know I could get it to work by "gmailifying" them but wish it could crawl through emails within the app.

I would say, if you sync with my Google maps, it would be more easier to view more pictures of the places. However, I would really recommend this app for future travels and updated notifications. I would actually like to see the syncing with Google maps because I do have a Google account, and I'm a level 4 local guide with 320 points. Really would appreciate that feature.

It's a great idea. What I miss, though, is an option to scan a mailbox upon request. Sometimes it takes really long for the reservations to get added.

It's an extraordinarily useful app, to an extent. You are unable to add many things manually, including trains (a major form of transportation in Europe.) You also aren't able to alter reservations if your plans changed, such as if you're leaving a city a day sooner or later than initially planned. It's useful if you're booking mostly using services whose emails Google can detect and add, but there's no way of knowing beforehand what those services are and so you're left with a half-filled reservations tab with only some of the information you need. The thing is, though, that offline support is fantastic, the maps have been an absolute lifesaver, as well as the information regarding public transport. It has great information about local attractions too! It even has suggested iteneraries fitting the duration of your stay in any given city. Overall this is a very informative app, but it's issues with managing reservations makes it quite a hassle to use if you're wanting to plan the travelling part of travel.

If the parser doesn't recognise your bookings, don't bother adding it manually - it will delete it after a few days, every time. Right waste of effort

It would be great to have a shared planner that 2 or more friends can add places (by voting or by the master administrator) and schedule the planner together. Other than that, it's a great app.

The app shows you where to go, but the interface to make day plans are so terrible it might as well be removed. You can't make one with only starred places, there will always be places you don't want to visit.
