Used to work great but now....COMPLETELY SUCKS I haven't used this app for many years back when my friend had it on his Sidekick. The app worked AMAZING!!!(Example: I could take a picture of a random bug and get very accurate results) Recently got a GALAXY S5 and this app SUCKS compared to many years ago. Just like all the other negative reviews, this app can't even find results for something as simple as a quarter. Only scans barcodes about 20% of the time and can barely scan PLAIN TEXT. What the heck happened and why is it taking so long to fix?
Not good enough at all. Way short I like the idea of the app. I really do. Could have incredible application. However the object recognition in this app is just so bad, the app simply becomes useless. The app spends more time looking for words rather rather than recognising objects. i already had the normal google search app and I downloaded this app to search based on pictures not words.
Great but need improvement Since google is improving itself in each and every field, when it comes to image search, it definitely gives the correct information but if it could be a little faster and if the user interface can get a material overhaul. That would be great. People should start using google goggles more so that this app get more suggestion and more improvements on the other hand.
Great app, but design not enough Goggles works well, but would you please make its design resemble the Google search iOS app? The iOS app's Goggles feature uses some sort of circular viewfinder to lock target on anything it easily recognizes, like a QR code, but the Android app doesn't have that. Please include the circular viewfinder in the next Android update.
Zero Privacy I downloaded Google Goggles last night and thought it was super cool. I get home and suddenly it tells me I have a new result: my chemistry textbook. It shows me a picture I took of my homework out of the book earlier. In other words, it was helping itself to the contents of my gallery when it shouldn't have even been running in the first place. Amazing idea but granting it full access and autonomy by installing it was a mistake I should have never made in the first place.
Used to be a useful app. Now it closes immediately and is non-functioning on my Google Pixel. Previously I'd written this about it: The app works great on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I use it mostly as a business card reader. The other nice thing is the rare occasion when I want it for a barcode or QR code reader.
