Only keeps history of payments for a week or two. It should keep them for at least a full card cycle (45+ days) to help check transactions when the card statement arrives. Pay collects useful information like GPS location and Google maps store name which a statement doesn't have. Rewards cards work on some stores, but not others. Can't have multiple rewards cards for one business, eg children's library card and own library card.
Update: WOW. Now I can't even unpin my phone temporarily if I wanted to due to this apps policy! I want to delete Pay, but doubt that I can since it is bundled. Another update. Do we have an app level lock yet? User should decide on PIN lock or app lock. I can't use this app because there are times that i need to unsecure my phone for work. There are times when I require the ability to un-PIN. In my work I can't be seen spending 30 seconds keying in a PIN to view a 5 second text. The PIN should be on the app, not on the phone. Until Pay is everywhere, it's only useful .5% of my week.
I was thinking about using this app, but with last update all it does is chew my battery life up. Have reported app several times. Have now forced stop on this app, to see if my battery life improves. I don't even have any rewards of credit card stored in app. Haven't used it either, but it is second only to andriod sys in battery usage. Will soon uninstall app if not fixed.
I was going to start using Google pay, but I don't like the fact that you cannot control the payment process within the app with your fingerprint or pin. It's a security issue for me if my phone happens to be unlocked.
Wait wait wait. You're giving out $10 for new Canadian users of the app? What about those of us who have been with you since day one of Android Pay and got to unlock the useless Justice League droids? Nothing eh? Thanks Google!
I'd set up an account with Android pay with no problem, but with this new update it keeps saying, "Double-check your card details. Something's not right". I've tried numerous times, even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but no luck. I'd appreciate some help.
