About this app

Google Pay is the fast, simple way to pay online, in shops, in apps and more. Book a trip, grab a meal, see a show and enjoy new experiences – all without your wallet. Getting started on the web or with the app is easy. Just add a card, and you're ready to go.

Shop smarter. Google Pay lets you keep everything that you need to speed through checkout on your phone. Plus, the Home tab gives you all the information you need, right when you need it. See your recent transactions, find nearby shops and enjoy access to rewards while you shop.

Go with just your phone. With Google Pay, all you need to travel around London is your phone. Touch in on a yellow card reader with your phone and you are good to go.

Encrypted and secured by Google. Google Pay protects your payment info with multiple layers of security, using one of the world's most advanced security infrastructures to help keep your account safe. And when you pay in shops, Google Pay uses an encrypted number instead of your actual card number, so your real card details stay safe.

Google Pay is available on all non-rooted Android devices (Lollipop 5.0+).

Not as user friendly as it SHOULD be. You would think that Google could create and offer an app that's seamless, user friendly and intuitive. Nope. Two stars because it does add a little convenience when traveling by plane, when ordering online and you don't want to give out your credit card number... If the place you're ordering from works with Google pay.

The shelves feature is great for sorting. But I wish there were some some of auto sort feature. I've used the app for so long I have too many books to go back and add them to shelves. Maybe a checkbox to auto sort to shelves when downloading based on the book tags or anopportunity on/off feature that generally auto sorts your whole library, but can be turned off if you choose to personalize the sorting. The search feature never seems helpful enough with a large library.

The app CONSISTENTLY has issues actually using the selected card. Both on the phone and my watch, it just uses the default card regardless of which is selected in the open app. I don't understand the point of being able to add multiple cards if it uses only one. Samsung pay, for all its faults, can at least provide the bare minimum of charging the correct card. EDIT: Google just suggested an article on how to change the default payment; that is NOT the issue. I don't want to change the default every time I pay for something, I want to just select what payment I am using. Having to change the default for every purchase is clunky and not a solution to the poorly written app.
