Disables itself after a few minutes. Forces me to go to the play store and enable it each time I want to pay. Was working fine before my Huawei watch 2 updated itself a few days ago.
Whenever I try to use the app and hold it to the payment terminal, nothing happens. I know the terminals are compatible because others use it and I have used Samsung pay on the same terminals successfully. It is like the phone does not recgonize it is being held to the NFC enabled terminal. NFC is turned on on the phone. I am using a Chase Amazon prime Visa card which has worked with other apps. Google Pay is also selected as the default payment app. Any help Google? Thanks
Works well on my Pixel XL 2. 1 star because it cannot easily be used with rooted phone. Edit: Back to 5 stars when I got a reply (hope they really are looking at options). I was just being bitter, remembering the good old days. Really think it's a well designed app that got even better now that it's Google Pay. Edit2: Google Pay and Google Pay Send should be in the same app. Back to 1 star.
They've removed the ability to organize your cards. You cannot see all you non-payment cards on the home screen. Payment history is nice to look at later but I'd rather have all my cards on the home screen for easy access. Too much tapping and swiping now. Please bring back Android Pay!
I love the app when it works. I store all my rewards cards and it makes using them and paying a breeze. At BJ'S Wholesale where they have Android pay. Unfortunately, it is a flip of the coin if the app works or not. Apple pay runs smoothly at these locations.Update: The app mostly works now. I have no problem connecting most times. I would love the option of having to enter a pin before authorizing a purchase. Walmart and CVS pay does this. I feel better just in case I lose my phone and it is unlocked.Update (2/22/18): The app works great now. I rarely use my physical credit cards or bank cards. My only grip is isthe lack of of an option to require a pin to use the app. Samsung Pay, Walmart Pay and CVS require a 4 digit pin to open the app. Relying on the screen lock makes no sense since the timeout could be 2 minute thus leaving your phone vulnerable.
Please make it so we can organise our cards like android pay did. Being able to keep most used cards at the top was incredibly helpful, speeds up use and a great feature. Otherwise, good app. Not sure why it splits cards into a different section, again this just slows you down. Splitting things off into subsections and micromanaging is not always a good idea when you have to search all the time.
• You can now pay with a card other than your default. Just open the app and tap on the card right before you pay.
• Bug fixes and improvements
