I love it. Works great now. Do NOT rename this to Google Pay. It is Android pay and should remain that way. Stop changing your apps banes Google. Companies spend big dollars displaying logos on devices and text on credit card readers. Why should they have to spend all that money again just because you decided to merge 2 apps and change its name? The merge is fine but it still is Android Pay as that is the os we use it on.
The app has improved over the years and really good integrated support for things like Walgreens cards and library cards makes this an truly invaluable tool. Just the other day my significant other had lost her wallet I didn't have mine with me and we had already picked out a bunch of stuff at the store with our kids and my phone saved us.
Android Pay is great when it works but it fails too often, about one week every 3 month at my local supermarket. Last error since a few days "you can use only one card" on the terminal ! I understand that not all bugs may originate from Google but you should help improve the ecosystem. Pay should be reliable or it's a toy. Edit: Thanks for the link on the FAQs. The solution there is "Try again". I tried 2/3 times in a row without any success on 2 consecutive days. It used to works great. That's one sale point (2 different card readers).
Works brilliantly on a Google Pixel 2 XL, it's really quick to pay and works everywhere contactless is accepted which is like every shop in the UK these days. I used to have an LG G4 and it was always slow as hell when paying by NFC, it used to stop working every so often too. Excellent stuff Google, improved a lot.
Ignore any NEGATIVE comments on here this app works perfect. If it doesn't then its simple no-brainer to upgrade your phone or smartwatch. Watches must be of the android wear 2.0 types i.e. (LG sport) NOT Samsung own Tizen operating system. Even if your phone is rooted or customised then you are not quite out of luck just yet as there are ways to hide your phone from security checks. However it is important to install a root free firewall and a good antivirus app if you go down that route.
Saw a promotion at Olive Garden to get a $5 discount by downloading and using android pay. Did all the steps only for it to give me an error message every time. Numerous waiters and managers stopped by to try and help to no avail. Ended up using Samsung Pay with no issues. Disappointed since I always root for Android vs iPhone.
• You can now pay with a card other than your default. Just open the app and tap on the card right before you pay.
• Bug fixes and improvements.
