I love it. Works great now. Do NOT rename this to Google Pay. It is Android pay and should remain that way. Stop changing your apps banes Google. Companies spend big dollars displaying logos on devices and text on credit card readers. Why should they have to spend all that money again just because you decided to merge 2 apps and change its name? The merge is fine but it still is Android Pay as that is the os we use it on.
I joined AP while still the Olive Garden and it said I would get $5 off the order, which didn't happen. Both the server and I didn't see anything special that we had to enter in order for that...she wanted to see how it worked in order to walk others through it who decided to pay the way since they had the ad on their tabletop payment system. The app was easy to use but didn't get the credit which is what provoked me to use it in the first place.
The app has improved over the years and really good integrated support for things like Walgreens cards and library cards makes this an truly invaluable tool. Just the other day my significant other had lost her wallet I didn't have mine with me and we had already picked out a bunch of stuff at the store with our kids and my phone saved us.
Android Pay is great when it works but it fails too often, about one week every 3 month at my local supermarket. Last error since a few days "you can use only one card" on the terminal ! I understand that not all bugs may originate from Google but you should help improve the ecosystem. Pay should be reliable or it's a toy. Edit: Thanks for the link on the FAQs. The solution there is "Try again". I tried 2/3 times in a row without any success on 2 consecutive days. It used to works great. That's one sale point (2 different card readers).
Very easy & quick to use but potentially dangerous. I've recently changed from iPhone to Android after many years. I wanted to have a dual SIM phone for business, which Apple don't do. The Android pay work just as good. I do like that with my iPhone I had to use finger print recognition just before a payment. With Android pay, I just went into the app, choose my card & paid. Hmm, could someone unlock my phone & use this feature 🤔.
Works brilliantly on a Google Pixel 2 XL, it's really quick to pay and works everywhere contactless is accepted which is like every shop in the UK these days. I used to have an LG G4 and it was always slow as hell when paying by NFC, it used to stop working every so often too. Excellent stuff Google, improved a lot.
• You can now pay with a card other than your default. Just open the app and tap on the card right before you pay.
• Bug fixes and improvements.
