Not working? Try this... Mine was working Ok until a week ago or so...called Google help and they recommended removing the card associated with the app then reapplying the card again. I did this and it works fine now. If this hadn't fixed it they recommended uninstalling the app, re-installing it and putting the card on again but the first step did it for me... :)
No longer works on unlocked phone Oct 21, 2016. Went to use it like I always do and got a big middle finger telling me that this cannot be used on an unlocked phone. Thanks apple i mean Google.. At the very very VERY minimum the app should warn you about this otherwise you are creating a embarrassing situation like having your credit card declined.
Great after registering cards Android pay works like a charm. It even keeps all of your loyalty cards in one place, and offers rewards (I got a free Best Buy gift card). It's a pain adding certain credit cards, which can take a couple calls to your credit card company, but after that you're golden.
Always works...eventually I'm still not sure mobile payment is a necessity, but for a few things like electric car charging stations, contactless is the only method, and this app always works. I do however often have to enter my lockscreen PIN several times and hold my phone up longer than seems necessary while it vibrates several times. Until it works quicker and easier than using a credit card every time, I'll only use it in the few conditions that I have to or when Google provides an incentive.
Works great Reviewers - like Paul Blair - That's not Google or the Android Pay teams fault you got a different card. That's your credit unions fault. Your review is N/A. Pipe down. People complaining about unlocked bootloader meaning it won't work, it was publicised everywhere and it's the banks doing (if Google didn't do this Android Pay would not have a future so you're done for anyway). This is not a right you have to the app, it's a privilege. Learn to review. Learn who to complain to. Stop your whining.
Pretty good as long as you don't mind the lock Decent payment solution now, though you do have to keep your phone locked up tight to use it (unlocked/rooted need not apply). Will be very nice with more widespread adoption (more banks, more NFC Terminals, and more countries). Also especially recommended is a fingerprint reader to use this - much better/faster than pin/password/pattern.
