Great initial release. I'm mainly using this for sports (hockey & fútbol) and having ESPN, Fox Sports, and NBC is working great. My go to sport is fútbol. The coverage is good. I'm an MLS fan so I'm hoping they could make a deal with MLS Live in the future to boost the games I can watch. For me that's my one draw back. Month old TV shows still have ads. I could see live streams and even weeks old streams having ads, but after a couple months there shouldn't be ads IMO.

In NY and attempted to log into my account YouTube wanted me to sign up on another account. Original log in was LA. What happened to signing in anywhere? Only able to view from pixel XL. Need more options. More apps on platforms. Need ability to cast to anything, not just Chromecast. Cost isn't necessarily cheaper if you include 300mbs @ 80.00/mo cable can do all for 120/mo price it

Seems good so far but lots of room for improvement. There isn't a dedicated section for On Demand and it leads to confusion on what is available and what needs to be recorded first. Also, the live tv needs a easier view so you can see what is coming up in future programming. Suggested channels to add would be PBS, Weather Channel, Hallmark, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

Latest version seems to have fixed the hard system crash I was getting from the initial release, although 1 star off for no patch notes saying this so I can be 100% sure. Anyway: the service itself is great - I like the content and the DVR function seems like the best UI and value out of all the competition.

**Update** I find it imperative to mention that a recent update has made it so that location services must be on at all times whilst using the app. This drains the battery severely.** Great launch. As mentioned, many major networks are available. Impressive, intuitive UI. Would love to see the addition of HGTV and Animal Planet, and perhaps a tv guide.

I got rid of my satellite TV because this had live news channels. I really like the setup and the DVR functions. Up to six profiles in one account is awesome too. What doesn't make this 5⭐ is the lack of Android TV support. Chromecast doesn't always work every time. Great start!

Good, but incomplete. Some very basic channels are missing and the ability to fast forward is missing. (Not talking about skipping, but actually be able to fast forward through ads and see it on tv so we can hit play right when show starts).

Good video quality. Pretty good channel lineup. The bad: doesn't work on Nexus 9. Portrait only interface, but can view full screen landscape. G-suite users cannot share the service. Super slow to skip. Skip is 15 seconds, not 30. Very slow to start streaming on first generation Chromecast.

Typical for Google half done will be happier when they support my tablet and have a smoother interface. The reboot the phone feature is a bit rough I always thought when an app crashes it should not reboot the phone. Will give it 3mos or so.

For such a high ticket value, the least we could have would be less ads. On top of that, they repeat non-stop. If you move the playhead around, you get more ads, even if you just saw 4 of them. That not to mention that the volume is not normalized, which means it BLOWS the volume up for some ads and that's a total deal breaker when you are watching at night. Google got TV and made it worse. For the experience they are offering I would pay $9.99.

Service and app need work and more honest advertising. Opening the app on my phone requiring location service then pressing cast is not a "remote". Showing unskippable commercials ad nauseum is not a "DVR". The entire Chromecasting experience is not intuitive. Confusing to see multiple live channels as you scroll . Too easy to stop the stream by accident. Needs Roku support and more traditional remote functionality. Needs background playback when not casting. And needs more channels competitors have like CNN. I will probably switch back to SlingTV.

Not yet worth $35/mo. It's super buggy. Yeah it's new and bugs are to be expected but this app should really still be in beta. It constantly disconnects from Chromecast, the app stalls out and becomes unresponsive, it doesn't update channel guide on the hour to reflect airing shows...you have to close the app and reopen it to see refreshed guide and there is not an option to see whats on next. Theres more but im tired.

I think this service is just android device or laptop. Everything else cast's to smtv.but not this service.I keep getting regular YouTube, I'll give it a few days.It may record?but you can't go in to view it. should still have trial till June 7,17But its saying not compatible I bought chromecast device. Today app reinstalled! I'd like to see if it works.But I can't afford to be charged, In case it don't work.

Works well and is almost a complete solution. I'm missing my local PBS station and I would like the ability to download on WiFi only and store/watch offline to save cellular data; will give 5 stars when that happens.

Honestly enjoying this a lot. For the price, it's unbeatable. The channels aren't half bad at all, I can always find something decent on. Cancel your cable. No reason to spend 100s a month when you can get YouTube TV. Hoping the more people, the more channels we may see.

This app is no good! It makes u put in your credit card information before u get the free month. Without that information u don't get the free month. I would like to try something before I commit myself to a bill. To get customers let them try the free mouth with no strings attached if it's a good app

So far so good. I really like everything about it but it still has two areas it can improve upon. The first is the channel selection as it's still in it's infancy stages and not as expensive as sling. Second is the amount of devices it can be used on simultaneously. Sling let's you watch on five devices while YouTube is just two or three.

Good app for a good price. But they should add more channels and more variaty of options. There's no food network or truth, travel channel or not many Spanish channel. Needs work!

KEEP ADDING MORE CHANNELS. I WANT MY LOCALS! Discovery, Travel, History.These are a must have. Also, include YouTube Red to compensate for the lack of channels. It's worth $35 a month for mediocre channels.

Needs a lot of work. The volume for commercials jumps up 50% easily. Keep a remote near, because you will need to adjust the volume regularly

app is so good on first and I really love the available channels esp. ESPN & FX. Hopefully they could add TNT, Comedy Central and TBS. User experience is really outstanding as well. I am able to connect it to Chromecast and it is working well.

Youtube tv is very clear and easy to use, I just wish you had tnt and comedy central on a persoral note, however over all youtube tv is a very pleasurable entertainment experience and would gladly recommend it to family and friends looking for an affordable alternative to big cable and satellite companies!!!

Good initial release. Have issues finding location even when gps is on. Need to try multiple times to get the location. No Turner network yet. No Roku steaming yet.
