It is unacceptable for this kind of app not to have an alarm reminder type (ringing until the user dismisses the alarm). Even the old Nokia calendar had this feature. Even more annoying is the fact that Android has an Alarm API that can be easily accessed by a developer. So this feature would be just a couple of lines of code. One star because i request this feature for a couple of years!!!!!! (one exclamation mark for every update since I first posted)
Goals are always added to the default (Events) calendar. Even after multiple updates since Goals was originally introduced user can't change that. I have shared that calendar years ago when it was my only calendar and I really don't want to spam my every Goal to those I have shared it with. Also I am not looking forward (as a workaround for lacking a simple feature) for moving every single thing from Events to yet another new calendar and share it instead. Yep, 2017-02-21 update didn't fix the problem. Still after 2017-03-06 update the problem exists. Starting to sound like a broken record but 2017-03-17 update left this issue as is. 2017-03-29 update kept everything as is, no surprise there. 2017-09-21 and still no change. Soon it has been ignored by Google for a year! 2017-12-14 update didn't do the trick. :(
This certainly has come a long way since I left my last review two years ago, when I left a 1-star rating and advised people to avoid this app. Now, it's grown into a fully functional and robustly featured app that integrates nicely with Google's other productivity applications. Address mapping and auto-populate come in very handy. But some useful features, such as automatically adding events from Gmail, still have a few quirks that need to be addressed. Overall, it's definitely a worthy and worthwhile addition to one's arsenal of apps, especially if one is already invested in Google's ecosystem.
Excellent App however rated low because feedback is not answered. Been requesting for NIGHT VIEW and YEARLY VIEWER for over a year now but no response. These features are available on Third party widgets, however they don't display my REMINDERS, hence useless.
I have an NHL team's schedule downloaded to Calendar. I get my reminder 1 out of every 5 games. Good thing I don't use this for important stuff.
The UI sucks like Evey other Google app. If you can't innovate, at least steal from Apple.
Drag & Drop - easily reschedule events, reminders and goals directly from day, 3 day and week views.
