For the most part, Calendar acts as expected but there are too many times appointment reminders fail to notify me when they should. For some events, I will create 5-6 notifications and only when I get a call for my missed appointment will I realize that none of them actually happened. Calendar will still show the appointment and editing the appointment clearly shows all of the notifications but not a single one happened. This is the one thing I really need Calendar for and failing even 1% of the time is a problem; failing 20% of the time makes it nearly unusable.
I was disappointed to find all my old events (those not modified for more than a year) disappear from the app and only be accessible via the desktop web site - this is not convenient to me, as I like to be able to refer back to past events sometimes. I found a workaround for this, but it shouldn't be necessary. Otherwise, I love the app, so that's why it still gets ★★★★.
Keeps my schedule and appointments organized, so I can determine where I'm going, and what I'm doing, from anywhere. Love the ability to use Maps with this program! The PC/Web version is a bit clunky compared to Android's, but both get the job done.
When I make appointment on computer it comes up on my phone twice. I always have to delete at least 1 every time and the details are always wack and all over the place when synced. Widget with a week view please. Honestly my stars would go straight to 5 if you added a widget week view.
We have had this update far far too many times!! "Connect to Google Fit so that Calendar can mark fitness goals as done automatically and schedule future times more efficiently. Check your progress with the new visual tracker."
It is unacceptable for this kind of app not to have an alarm reminder type (ringing until the user dismisses the alarm). Even the old Nokia calendar had this feature. Even more annoying is the fact that Android has an Alarm API that can be easily accessed by a developer. So this feature would be just a couple of lines of code. One star because i request this feature for a couple of years.
Connect to Google Fit so Calendar can mark fitness goals done automatically and schedule future times better. Check your progress with the new visual tracker.
