Smooth UI and overall simple design. I would love to see an option in the future to change the color of the calendar itself. Alot of other apps have a settings option to enable a 'Nighttime' colored background, which is basically a dim, black backdrop instead of the traditional white. A darker backdrop for the calendar would be much easier on my eyes. Also, the app has been lagging lately, not immediately responsive whenever I open it up. Please patch it. Thank you.

Exchange calendars still hosed. Shows random events as non-accepted, so they appear with inverted colors. This is the third release that this bug has not been fixed.

Please let us select weekly offs in a week with red color marker. Like sat sun in red or Tues Wed in red

Good app, very easy to use... however I wish I could change the color of the events or appointments I add. When I look at my month or week veiw, all my tasks are the same default color. While I can change what the default color is, it's still annoying for EVERYthing on my calendar to be the same color. For example, I wish I could make appts I add for my daughter pink or purple, things for my boys green, for me another color, and so on. This way when looking at the calender, everything doesn't just blurr together. It would be easier to distinguish between events.

When I set a repeat for everyday, there is no end date. I want to be reminded to do something 4 days each month. There is no simple way to do it. What's worse is the weak inconsistent notifications. When I have a very important appointment, I want the loudest, longest, most irritating sound possible (and popups). In any noisy environment I never hear it.

Notifications arrive late or not all. Can't change color of individual reminders. Can't copy events or reminders to other days. You could take out the Reminders portion without losing any functionality. Because of the severe limitations of the Reminders I use Events for everything.. Can you at least give us an update where the notifications work, please? As it is this is a fairly worthless app.

All of my past events, the ones I put on my calendar so I can remember when I mailed out a bill...or other random things I want to refer back to, disappear! The only items that don't, are recurring dates and national holidays. It's very frustrating, and I can't seem to get anything back.

Can't see other person's calendar when events are added and vise-versa. Hey, Google. I have been using this app for a long time and got my girlfriend using it, too. It really helps us keep track of our busy lives and plan times to hang out. I have it set up to where we can see and edit each other's calendars. Recently, we've been having a lot of trouble seeing each other's calendars. I add events to mine - like my work schedule - and she can't see it. Not sure what's going on. Problem is recent. Fix please.

I don't need cute graphics for my events, what I need is an app that shows all of the events in an agenda view. Adding 3 or so lines to an entry to show a generic picture is a waste of screen real estate. Meanwhile, it should have more flexibility to notify when I want... Even after the time/date. Especially so for all day events. That said, it is nice how it functions... Tapping the date opens day view, for example. Just needs some tweaks.

Its great. But rather useless in birthday calendar. We need option to set alarm/reminder for birthday date from google contact, if not whats the point? Also it would be great if the "xxx country' nasional day calendar" add on were in that own country's language instead of in English.

No matter how much higher the screen resolution gets on mobiles, this app still can't make use of all those extra pixels. Worse layout, worse display of month view. Useful for setting appointments for alerts only. Basically every calender app in the market is better than this so pick one.

The desktop version is great. The App (phone & tablet) is AWFUL. App doesn't automatically check site for calender updates when launched - and NO refresh button! That's a huge basic error. Not just me, same problems for those I shared calendar with. This is embarrassing Google

Buggy and non-functional. I can view calendar events, but any time I try to click on one (e.g. if I want to view or edit details or to delete the event) the app crashes. I've tried force stop and uninstalling and Google support hasn't responded. Really frustrating.

Need ability to copy and paste events, including the event name, time and colour into random days - like work shifts!! Not every recurring event happens on the same day/time etc so using the schedule to repeat events (same day and time etc) is not practical.

One star for attention. Actually love this app. Current time 9:30 There's a goal that was scheduled to be done at 8:00 did it at 8:30 Editing the time of the goal, from notification. Edit the time to 8:30, click save. The whole thing closes. Assumed that I don't wanna do it now, scheduled it for later. So no need to show me back the goal detail page. But I wanted to mark it as done. Open the app and find the goal to mark is as done. Because the widget, the notification everything gone, assuming that the new time is in the future. Suggestion: If the new time is already passed, show me back the event detail page. So that I can mark it as done. If it's in the future, close the whole thing.

Poor update 5 day week and lack of colour coded overview of events in month view! Will need to find an alternative unless you can add these back :(

Doesn't remind anything. Shows reminders which were marked as finished a long time ago. When it does remind us, there is no way to set it up as a remainder or to play a particular tune. I couldn't believe it was developed by Google.

Doesn't notify me! You what would be nice? Having notifications actually work. Either I get none whatsoever or I'll get one at a totally inappropriate time. I've missed several appointments over the past few months and have to rely on a widget now to remember my appointments.

It works good except when I travel to other time zones. The notification times get all confused. If I created a series of events at home then the notification happens based on the home time zone rather than the time zone where I am now. So I get notified too early or too late depending on where I went.

It's okay but seems clunky. On my mobile, it used to allow me to chose color or appointment but stopped a while ago. I wonder if there is a limit to number of appointments I can add for free??? Also, I'm always getting errors on repeat appointments. So why isn't this easier, clearer? Also, why is the sync not working? Seems like it used to be better.

I used to love this calendar until I went on to it today to view my upcoming events only to find they have all been wiped with the latest update. Thanks. Just, thanks. I can't remember what was even on there because I trusted this app to be reliable. Never again.

You know what i really hate? Every time there is an app update, it completely screws up my weekly reminder notification. It happens so consistently that every time there is an app update, I literally think to myself "uh oh" and install it with much trepidation. I have weekly reminders to top up my phone's prepaid data that are CRUCIAL that i do on the EXACT day otherwise I lose all the accumulated data from the previous weeks. Well, thanks to the latest app update, the aforementioned notification screwup indeed happened again and I have lost nearly 1GB of accumulated data. Thanks, Google Calendar, just thanks. I never expected I'd say this about a Google product, but I think it's time I start shopping around for a better product.

I couldn't schedule a daily event, I attempted several times. It would not be reflected on my calendar even though the app said it was scheduled. I have the current update as well.

I want to get all the notifications on my friends birthdays as in facebook. Am not able to sync Facebook account with the calender in my galaxy J7 phone. Please suggest.

No contact birthdays shown! I can see all birthdays from my Google contacts on my Xperia Calendar app, but Google Calendar app doesn't display them. How lame is that?

Love this app, but events load to my widget the day before, and then don't update. For example, something for today at 7pm alerted me yesterday, but today it still says the event is for tomorrow. Any way to get the notification to update once it becomes the day of? So it could say today at 7pm? Instead of the wrong wording of tomorrow?

UPDATES ARE INCOMPLETE! Recent updates make it impossible to see some of my linked calendars as well as my own prior additions. Have to go to my online calendar to see what I'm missing. I have several times now double booked items because some of my wife's and my own calendar items don't show up!

Good app, but why was the colour coding option for individual entries taken away?? Please put it back. Everything is now just one big blur and less easy to identify different types of appointments. Why change things that work well?

What's the point of a calendar app where the notifications don't work? I kept blaming myself for missing appointments because I thought I was swiping right on the notification without realising it. I mean, that's got to be it, right? Surely a multi billion dollar company wouldn't​ make a calendar app where the notifications don't work in their own OS... how embarrassing, Google...

I'm baffled as to why you STILL can't create calendars within the app and must do so on a browser instead. Bells and whistles don't matter when convenient, no-brainer features like this are missing.

On the event page where you invite people. I noticed a mistake on the time even though I had written the correct time in the Title line. So I changed the time slot. Guess what it said? "cancelled" and sent to all my invitees. I corrected the line that the time was on to the correct line. Then I re-sent. The problem is that people thought it was cancelled, since that is the word it used. They did not come. Even though I sent everyone the correct time. Please make it a little easier, so corrections don't state "cancelled". It gives the wrong impression. Can't you state '"correction" instead of cancelled? Everytime you make a change it reminds the reminder... I have to be able to check the info before its sent to everyone.

All events got wiped from my phone. Google needed several days to release a new version. There was no information from Google, I even sent a bug report. In the end I had to remove my Google account from my phone and add it again after a restart to fix this issue. That's not really professional...

I don't like the app at all any longer. It looked fine before it worked great. Now that looks crappy and doesn't work properly. Calendar will not sync with my devices and it did before the change.

I really like it. But I have a lot of meetings everyday and I like to use the month view - but this is extremely sluggish and takes a few seconds before I can view the next month. This is running on an unrooted Snapdragon 820.

Super fantastic upgrade, guys. All of my Google calendar items have disappeared. They are on my Google calendar on the website. Really thought you guys would've been able to fix it with the last 2 updates you had in quick succession. Seriously!

I REALLY want to be able to split the widget and be able to see two different calendars on my desktop (in two different widgets). My work calendar gets so crazy that is really easy to lose my personal stuff.

This is hideous and confusing. I should just be able to tap a date, add event. What happens instead is I tap a date, it changes views to this strange UI that only lists existing events in chronological order. Come on Google. Intuitive is supposed to be your thing and you just got one upped by an open source simple calendar app.

Last update broke exchange integration. All event showing as not replied.... And i cannot edit all the detail of the exchange events anymore.... Ffs

I like how everything works on this app and use it, but the last several months it keeps crashing in the middle of creating events. Huge problem. Fix this and I'll rate 5 stars.

I have synced my fb friends birthday in Google calendar in all day event type but it doesn't give me a notification everyday when the event should occur... I want a singel and same type of notification for each bday event at a fixed time say 8 am is it possible it tried many ways but still not getting notifications
