I'm an educator and we use Google Apps for Ed. We would love to use your calendar as a resource scheduler but your calendar is way to combersom to use for this purpose. For example we break up our day by periods or blocks. If we had a way of quickly grouping times and then be able to assign labs or carts to these times it would be unbelievable. Ex. Lab scheduler 2.0 or bookit lab
Loved it until recent update is causing the app to hang 10-15 seconds after initiating the app. Please fix the lag! LG G5 with Marshmallow. Not sure why people are having issue with monthly view. Hit the monthly and when going back into the app, hit the back button if it's only showing weekly and should default to monthly next time you open the calendar.
Email alerts arrive anywhere between 15 minutes and 6 and a half hours AFTER appointment times, standard alerts seem to be sporadic, and I have missed appointments because of this. I ended up downloading a simpler calender app just to make sure I get alerts on time. Looks pretty, bad functionality.
Score 1 for Microsoft. I just got a Moto z and have been trying to get my wife's shared calendar to show up to no avail. I use Outlook for an alternate email but I just found out I could roll my Gmail account into that as well... Bye bye Gmail app and Google calendar.
Lacks basic functionality. I often need to create a new event that is just like a currently scheduled event. But this app cannot copy (duplicate) events. Instead, I would have to create a new, blank event at the new date and time and then set up all its properties anew - reminders, colours, title, notes, location, etc. This app shows yet another frustrating reduction in basic functionality by Google. I now use a non-Google calendar app that is far better.
It is unacceptable for this kind of app not to have an alarm reminder type (ringing until the user dismisses the alarm). Even the old Nokia calendar had this feature. Even more annoying is the fact that Android has an Alarm API that can be easily accessed by a developer. So this feature would be just a couple of lines of code. One star because i request this feature for a couple of years.
