Good interface, and I appreciate the return to a more neutral color palette. I still think you should have the ability to change the color scheme to whatever you like, seems like a pretty basic feature to me. Also, not that easy to set the alarm for a specific minute other than multiples of 5. Those wonderfully brilliant engineers should figure out a way to pick the the alarm time by this apparent new, move your finger in a circle way that they are married to, AND maybe by allowing you to type in a time as well. Kind of foolish that it takes me a min just to get my finger back and forth to get to the right time. Why can't I just tap on the time, skip the stupid circle method, and type in a time?
I have downloaded the analog clock on my home screen. However, I am neither able to change the colors or add the seconds hand. It would be simple for Google to add the features in the settings so one can select to change the color, add seconds hand, add numbers to the face of the clock, etc. These are simple things to do so the widget becomes more effective and functional. That way, one does not need to download a second clock app.
I think it would be so cool if Google made a shortcut from the time and date in the notification bar to the clock. I think it makes sense, kinda like the shortcut between the weather and the 5 day forecast or how the toggle switches/tiles in the notification bar can take you to the settings for the corresponding button with a long press. I've been waiting for this forever and it never gets done so I thought I would finally post something somewhere in hopes that it would be seen by someone who can make it happen.
Google should be embarrassed and ashamed that in ten years they haven't figured out a way to make a clock widget for a single time zone that works without taking up a second row. They should be a ashamed that exactly ZERO third party clock widgets display the time correctly. This stuff is important.
Don't mess with your users - the black is not wanted - please revert to the blue theme, or at least give a choice. Ps the 1 star is for the developers attitude to pushing out this change the way they did. The rest of the app was always great and I have got a lot of use out of it in the past.
Since the last update my alarm will not go off. There is a notification that my alarm will go off, but it does not work until after the time I have the alarm set for has passed and then I dismiss the notification. As soon as the notification is dismissed the alarm goes off. No need for an alarm if I'm already awake. like the dark theme but would have preferred a choice.
