Why when I change a language UI disappears at short moment?

This is by far the best keyboard app that I have used, love the voice to text. UPDATE: I give this 5 stars but am not sure how to submit a problem I (and many others have had) so I am temporarily changing my rating to 1 until it is fixed, but is not an indication of the overall awesomeness of this app. The voice to text (best feature by far) no longer keeps the screen on while speaking. If your screen default time to turn off is 30 seconds and you are speaking the screen goes black - it used to be that when you used voice to text the app would keep the screen on. Once this is changed I will be rating back to 5 again.

Yes Google keyboard is improving a lot. Happy with the ricent update. But you need few updation. 1.main problem is numeric key bord. It is hard to type because all numbers are arranged in a line. I use this keyboard in one hand. I don't type by boath hands. I suggest you make the numeric keyboard square like in a computer . there is a option for this type of keyboard but it is not default. Every time i have to switch to this type of keyboard. Please do this. 2. aloso symbols such as'@','#' are most important and widely used. so make them more easy to access. Or you can give us option to arrange some of the symbol keys to our desired position and way. Hope my voice will reach to you. Thank you.

Keyboard understands everything. Since my s7 has upgraded to android 7 my keyboard was becoming anoyinh with constant false autocorrection. With this keyboard nog more stupid autocorrections. It even understands English and Dutch at the same time. Perfect. I would like to see more special keys below the normal keys. Example long press k to not only get capital K but also keys like on a international qwerty keyboard. This way you would not need to press the ?123 butten all the time.

I love the design of this keyboard, and the functionality improves with every update. However, the swipe prediction produces strange results quite often. It's as if it detects pauses over letters when one swipes straight over them. For example, I might get "sweetie" instead of "swipe". Also, several of the swipe suggestions are for very uncommonly used words, rather than close matches that occur more frequently in general use.

I have tried every keyboard in the play store and this is the best! Everything you need , swipe , voice and many other features! Plus now Google search. By the way I have not had any problems with swipe gestures or predictions , it's super fast along with voice that works great! Very user friendly! It would be nice if storage space could be cut back some and to customize letter keys I kinda liked the square ones , just a suggestion. Can't please everyone , great job devs!

I too think this is actually an excellent app, however I want to draw attention to two issues I'd like to see changed. I used to use the SwiftKey app and while i think this one is more reliable... it's missing arrow keys and a proper configuration for the numbers! There's room for the arrow keys and it's 1000 times better than having to place your finger on the screen and hope the cursor lands in the right spot. Also, when you choose the number pad, why are the numbers still at the top of the board? If I'm choosing numbers, please rearrange the keyboard like a calculator. I don't need the numbers at the top... I already have them on the letter board. Fix these two VERY simple issues and I'll change it to 5 stars.

I really do love this keyboard. It gives me my two favourite emoji (❄🦄 ) and I love being able to use whatever pic I want as the background. My only "complaint" is that u cannot choose the colour of the keys. If u could change that, I would give 5 stars.

The best keyboard I have ever used. I was waiting for urdu transliteration since a very long time. Everything is bundled in a single application. But hindi and urdu dictionaries are not as rich as was in Google Indic Keyboard. Please improve the suggestions in hindi and urdu languages. Add multi clipboard feature. word should be deleted by long pressing of backspace instead of sliding. 5 words should be visible in suggestions row. space should be inserted after dot and comma. Emoji key should be visible in suggestions row at just opposite of G icon. Thanks a lot.

Probably the best keyboard. I've been a long time proponent of go keyboard but after they continue to push faux lock screens ads covered in ads I decided it was time to look elsewhere. I tried most of the top rated keyboards, and in my opinion Gboard is the best and most versatile, with tons of great features. The customizable dictionary allows you to set up your own shortcuts that can be used for quickly typing longer phrases or characters that wouldn't normally be found on a keyboard (I use it for uncommon math symbols). Other cool things: Google translate is built right in Editing keyboard readily available with arrow keys and copy and paste access Easy switch for multi languages Gesture typing Etc. In short, highly recommend this keyboard.

In general I like to love Google products. Google's keyboard is just awful. The prediction is below average compared to other keyboards, but the real problem is when you click on the middle of a block of text you wrote and start changing things. The cursor starts jumping around randomly as you type and words get changed to nonsense. It's an embarrassingly bad product. Glad I didn't pay for it.

Lots of improvements since I last used Google Keyboard (before it was renamed) which have been mostly positive. However, what I cannot stand is the fact that corrections cannot occur when typing in search fields. Also, backspacing takes forever as holding the backspace button down does not proceed to delete entire words. Bit disappointed.

I wish it would automatically autocorrect the word i into I. I have a hard time to go back and click on each i to capitalize. It makes me look unprofessional. I looked into the settings as some keyboards can replace words with others but I couldn't find anything that would allow me to replace i with I. Now I'm looking for a new keyboard.

However auto space after completing a word is not consistent. Sometimes it add space and I just continue with next word, sometimes it does not, and I messed up the previously entered word. Especially in other languages that needs combinations, like Vietnamese. Eliminate the Globe button and switch language by sliding the space bar is better. Make it sync the Personal dictionary.

I've encountered a very annoying bug. Whenever I try to type something while using the phone's default internet browser, be it in a search bar or somewhere else, I can only do it once. If I try typing again after closing the keyboard, the next time it pops up any key I press does nothing. I then have to close and reopen the browser to be able to type something again (still only once). The issue also affects the Facebook login pop up in apps that support it.

Extremely buggy. Crashes often. What's worse, it goes crazy. Cursor jumps around, or the visual position of the cursor is different from where the software thinks it is. So wrong parts of the text get edited. Sometimes words are doubled when you try to delete them. Or the first character gets doubled when you delete characters from the end of a word. It's a mess. And this happens on several devices I use.

This new "go back and change words at the beginning of the sentence text prediction crap" is the worst. I use a lot of acronyms and uncommon words in my day to day communications. This keyboard is constantly inserting random words in place of an acronym after I've gotten 4-5 words past it because it thinks I'm trying to say "watch" instead of AFR. It's annoying, and there's no way to disable it.

I switched from iPhone to Android and always typed slower on Android because I was so used to having an iPhone. This app corrects me instantly so I never have to backspace. It is beautifully integrated and doesn't cause that internal "bulkiness" feeling. Plus my boyfriend's family is Albanian and now I can translate directly in the app! I can send addresses for hangouts, the weather, anything in seconds. This app is flawless and fits seamlessly into my messaging app.

The swipe type feature often fails to work. Only after closing the keyboard and then opening it up again does the swipe type start functioning properly. Problem has been persisting even though a couple of updates have been launched over the last 2 months. Please fix this.

Claims to recognize other languages but anything aside from English must be manually typed in; no swipe or glide texting here. I also have to teach it every single word, which is strange because the accents are readily available. What the hell is the point of teaching my keyboard an entire second language?? I miss my Galaxy that had better keyboard options. I find this very frustrating. Moto G 5s.

I love Google's keyboard, Gboard, however I'm having an issue with reliability. For whatever reason the app seems to freeze up on me randomly when opening a text field to type. It won't allow me to type of use the keyboard, so I will have to back out of the text field and bring the keyboard up again. I'm fairly certain this is just a glitch from the latest update. I can't wait until it's fixed. Otherwise I love this app for my note 5 as I'm not a huge fan of the update to the Samsung keyboard.

I never felt angry at my phone until I installed Gboard by Google. This is by far the worst keyboard application I've ever experienced. With it's constant shrinking down to an unusable size or moving into an orientation I don't want it to be at. it's slow user interface and terrible word suggestions making it impossible to message as quickly as I want to message.as well as making my messages indecipherable and taking too long to correct it and when I try to correct it corrects it into even worse than it was before !! I hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

Google learned something here and I'm picking it up. Gboard is the only keyboard I ever use now with a few exceptions. I have submitted a suggestion to the developer team Awhile back ago asking if they could have tablet keyboard for the tablet user that supports up to 10 inches or better. Still no feedback

Gboard does not offer predictive text nor corrective text in multiple apps, most frustratingly in Chrome. If there is a bad connection to the internet, correction lags. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and same failures. Why would I only want to correct my text some of the time?

Glide typing broken with update. EDIT: UNINSTALLED and reinstalled. Now works perfectly. Great keyboard. The lack of a fifth star is because I've never seen Google leave well enough alone. We'll see what happens. SUGGESTION: WHEN I LONG press, I would prefer if the extra characters weren't immediately selected. This function is perhaps the only thing that the stock iOS keyboard does pretty well. If I'm typing a password, I don't have to worry about selecting another character while I hold a key to make sure that it's the intended character that is being entered. Otherwise iOS has nothing in the way of a good keyboard.

I actually like the swipe typing function, but it's the voice typing that i was hoping would be better. Personally, i operate in several languages and when i try to use the voice typing function it never gets the correct language I'm using. Never. I wish they could change it to more like iOS, where whatever language is displayed on the keyboard at the time will be the language it "hears".

Personal dictionary still crashes when I try to add a word on my Samsung Galaxy s4 android 5.01. I want to add one mostly because gboard never auto-capitalizes "I." Still better than Swiftkey though. I'd like to see them add "¡" and "¿" to the "long press for symbols" items. They have other Spanish symbols, seems silly not to have those.

The '?123' toggle button should toggle through all 3 keyboard panels. The first '?123' panel, then the '=\<' panel and finally back to the 'ABC' initial panel. This would free up the Shift button from becoming the symbols toggle button and allow for quick toggling movement between panels without moving your finger as the same button is used. All 3 panels are cycled on the same button.

The App no longer showed most of the Emojis on my new phone ZTE MAX DUO and the ones I liked and used most, weightlifter are gone and the thumbs up are crappy looking mauve drawn Emojis. Is it me or does Google Keyboard misspell 30% of what you are writing. I know what I am writing but after sending the text discover simple words such as ALL are replaced with words I never even use. It is embarrassing at times. Sad that everyone calls it retarded. 😂

Overall the keyboard is awesome no complaints at all.... Just wanted to suggest a feature of Clipboard... And a shortcut to clipboard notes as in.... If I type some letters a note from clipboard appears in typing area.... Probably i am not good at explaining.... I hope it's understandable... Thank you

Was good. Now aweful. Drag type lags and does not let me swipe. Just now when typing this normally, it lagged and added some foreign character's. Also, autocorrect is messed up. I typed "dies" instead of "does" and it autocorrected to "doesn't"... How the hell did it miss the obvious choice?!

It's decent. Gliding needs much more improvements. No quick gliding way to type in punctuations. In French, no practical way to write words with apostrophes like j', s', l', etc... Whether it be by typing or gliding. There is no better than Swype for gliding still. I wish Google would put more thoughts to the gliding mechanics. Copying Swype would be a good start.

The text recognition of the keyboard is actually getting worse over time. Way better than any other I've experienced. However, it needs more convenient gestures for first letter or full word capitalization, as well as making an automatically capitalized word lower case. As it is, the gestures take longer than fixing the word manually. ***EDIT/REQUEST: please fix the issue where in this app does not give word suggestions for various Google applications as well as a number of other apps. Because the word predictability of this app is actually degrading over time, it's extremely important to have the word suggestions in all applications. ***UPDATE: the app is actually getting progressively worse both in predictive typing, as well as voice to text. Further, the app still does not provide any predictive text in a number of applications.

This would be the best swipe keyboard out there, and it works great on my phone, but it totally STINKS on my tablet. It takes up the entire bottom half on the screen and there is no way to shrink it to one corner for one-handed use like every other keyboard can do. With a swipe keyboard, the smaller the better!

The main reason I downloaded the app is because it came with GIF already enabled to supposedly send at the click of a button. Unfortunately, it does not work on any app that I tried it on. I'm apparently not the only person that has this issue, based on a Google search. Hopefully its just a bug that gets fixed and it eventually works like its supposed to... Until then, I'm sticking with my original keyboard.

I would love to see an Undo feature added to Gboard, just like a Ctrl+Z feature works on a computer. This, in my opinion, has been one of the biggest oversights of standard virtual keyboard designs since the genesis of smartphones. Please add this kind of feature for easy access and use. I think the predictive typing and auto correction is bad because it is non existent for the searching in a browser, the actual Google app, the Google play store search bar, and the YouTube search bar. However, the app is not totally bad and I think it would better than Swiftkey if the above is fixed. The look and feel of the app is beautiful and amazing.
