For the idiots who complained that their phones were bricked after turning on Talkback,: first that's not what "bricked" means. Please use the word the right way or it will lose its meaning. Second, I guess you are too stupid to realize that there is a tutorial on how to use this app when you turn it on.
Can't figure how to make this work; not simple like on iOS. On iOS you simply highlight text you want read and it reads it to you. Here I can select it all I want and nothing happens. iOS also has the ability to read numerous languages. Would like to see improvements made to this so I can even use it.

Good stuff Nice very much
Improvements needed 1. It needs to recognise when something else is talking! If the Google App is reading out a search result, TalkBack should not read out the same text simultaneously but at a slightly different speed! It should talk only when it has exclusive use of the audio. 2. Whose bright idea was it to change the default gestures? Unless you know the new gestures, you can't navigate to the setting to restore your old preferences! Needs a pop screen asking if you want new defaults or not.
This update of TalkBack has integrated a number of improvements.
Text editing in Chrome now supported.
Text that has been selected, copied, cut or pasted is now reported.
There is a new option to “Copy Last Utterance to Clipboard”.
Custom actions menu can now be opened with a gesture.
Phonetic spelling tables added for most languages.
