Music Player or Buy More Things? I used to love this app when I could simply listen to my own music without being confused as hell about when I am streaming something or not. I tried the "downloaded" toggle. It starts trying to "download" all the music that is native on my SD card already! I liked the auto playlists when they played MY music. Now Play Music is just more "buy this," because it's so heavily geared to steaming. Can't even search for my own music without streaming music flooding the results. At least you can steam only on WiFi
Love the design, sound quality is just ok Really great music discovery here Actually it's superb. . 1st sound quality is not even close to Tidal 320AAC. Nevermind lossless. . 2nd Lots of spaces between tracks like Pink Floyd stuff and all others that are suppose to be continuous. 3rd. album art is cut off where I can't even read the albums. Needs lots of love, needs work. But some of the best features like the ability to add my complete music collection through music manager.
Can you move the location of the sleep timer? Thank you for adding the sleep timer! The location however is very unintuitive. I really had to search for it before I found it in the settinfs menu. It would great somewhere on the main player. Can you also add a button just for playlists to the main player like you have on yhe web version? Thank you! Great app. I wish it had more exclusives like apple does but good overall.
Needs improvement Has a bug where if I start a playlist from inside itself, the 'now playing' screen is hidden until I exit the playlist, then re-enter it. Besides that, the app is in dire need for some more features and a beta channel. A more straightforward weekly recommended playlist would be great. Could do with a visual overhaul as well - it looks a little tired these days. Great service, however.
Not seeing my new SD card Yet another update(September 2016) and this crap app still will not see my SD card (but it sees music on the card just will not see it to download to it) I swapped my sd card for a larger one a couple of weeks ago. But Google music is not even seeing the new card. I have transferred loads of music to the card via PC and other music apps work with it just fine. Shame the originator of android can't fathom out SD cards.
Mostly Good My main problems with the app are, first... If the music I am playing is in Korean, what makes you think I want to hear music from India and Pakistan? Second... If I give a song a thumbs down, don't put it back in my playlist! Thumbs down means I don't like the song not, I just don't want to hear it right now but later is cool. Other than that, I love the app
