Things I'd like to see on the app. - Scrollbar in playlists (removed in past update) - Dark theme - Lyrics - Aesthetically better looking in-app music player (current player looks nice, but would be nice see the album cover). Please, I beg you, remove the feature that allows you to delete songs by swiping left or right. I have deleted so many songs that I can't find later because I wasn't quick enough to hit the undo button or remember what song was deleted. Nov 21, 2017
( Note:Came over from spotify because i maxed out the amount of song's i'm aloud to download on that app.) So far I love the pre-made playlist and the wide range of hip-hop albums. My main problem it's way to easy to delete song's from my playlist and the fact i can't sort my playlist, by artists.
The whole Google Play Music environment needs more robust and reliable syncing and better handling of metadata. This app needs clear differentiation between uploads, purchases and subscription music in My Library, and filtering for searches. There have been many quirks with casting. Most get fixed eventually but it would be better if they didn’t keep appearing.
This damn app is gonna get me killed! All I want is to say, "Okay Google, play AC/DC" while I am driving and have my f-ing music app play the enormous collection of AC/DC songs I have saved on my phone. Instead, Play Music defaults to wannabe Pandora mode. There doesn't appear to be any way to get another music app to play nice with Google Assistant either, and there's no way to get Play To default to just play my f-ing music. So I have to manually screw with it when my eyes and attention SHOULD BE on the road. It's a credible replacement for Pandora though, which is useful.
GPM is absolutely great, offering a wide range of music (although some independents that are on Spotify are still missing) and the ability to upload your own collection for streaming is a killer feature. However, the app itself suffers from some lag. Especially when launching from the widget. However, don't let this discourage you. In the end this is a fantastic service.
This app is trash. Honestly the only reason I still use it is because I'm making monthly subscription payments to use the music for my family. If I didn't have a Google play music subscription I'd have deleted this app a long time ago. It's the most inconsistent app I've ever used and that's a shame because Google usually does a good job with applications but for whatever reason this music app just can't get right. Save yourself the time and multiple headaches and look elsewhere.
