Ratings and reviews

Bad interface. Not intuitive. Google was great when they gave us a phone and phone service that was no frills and no nonsense. They want to encompass everything into one app all the time. We want the music we like easy to find an navigate, not focused on AI generated playlists. We want our podcasts on a separate app that is cut and dry with the home screen focused on our subscriptions They've lost their way. As much as I hate to say it, after almost 10 years, unfortunately it's time to go Apple.

Great interface and a huge selection. Needs improvement on managing your own library, though. You can't search only through your library, and there is no scroll bar when moving through songs, artists, etc. Now that podcasts have moved here, they need their own section so you don't have to lose whatever music playlist you had to listen to a podcast. Also needs a way to mark episodes as played.

Honestly, other than the "weird" song recommendations, it's pretty good. It has an actually bearable free version that you don't get with other apps, especially with the free two week premium that you get without putting in your card. There is one specific thing I dislike, and that is that you have to shuffle play your entire playlist randomly. What I mean by that is that, on Spotify, you can click the three dots next to a song and shuffle play with that song first, but YT Music doesn't let you.
