Does many things well. Is very convenient. Every once in a while my phone won't do anything on speaker after I disconnect. Very inconvenient. Even restarting phone doesn't always correct it. Those times I have to uninstall and reinstall. Even so, I continue to use it most all the time when I am driving my car. After two more years I still like it and hate it. It still repeatedly disconnects after 5 to 10 minutes unless I am also playing music or a book.

Android Auto is awesome, when it works. Over the last few weeks, it cuts in and out at random times. It's all because Google decided to take away the option for disabling wireless Android Auto. It used to work great with a wired connection, but now I'm forced to use wireless. I've missed turns/exits because of this issue and it's been very irritating. Just let me use a wired connection again! There's also an issue with Assistant's voice volume being extremely low compared to the music volume.

It does work well most of the time. Every now and then it disconnects while playing music and I have to unplug and reconnect the USB cable. It's a solid cable, the red one that came with my OnePlus famous for their quality, so it isn't a quality issue of the cable. Why can't it just use Bluetooth? Nobody knows. Also, my phone generated a LOT of heat when using Android Auto which is ridiculous since it isn't using Bluetooth. A USB connected device shouldn't work this hard to provide a data link.
