Good app, but connecting photos needs work. I have multiple images that just don't connect logically causing the navigation arrows to not align correctly. I've experimented with multiple arrangements but no luck. I take Business View images and follow Google's spacing guidelines, but it would be much easier if a different method was used. Maybe letting users move the numbered indicator to align themselves would work better than having the app "simplify" things. Hopefully this is an easy fix, as it's starting to impact my business. I've also sent my feedback directly to Google with more details and ideas.
Amazing app for creating 360 photos with your phone or tablet. It's come a long way, integrating and moving features over from other previous Google apps to combine them here. Easy to use, easy to share photos and 360s with friends and post to Google Maps. Great for checking out other creations and views around the world. The only drawback is that it is memory intensive, even when not in use, in the background even.
Some of the reviews really paints a scary picture of the average mobile users intelligence. The amount of people who were expecting "live" feeds are astonishing. People act as if it is owed to them that developers bow down to them. This app gave myself and millions alike an opportunity to earn an income doing what you love, but unfortunately for most you have to put your sense of self entitlement away. Thank you Google,Maps &Streetview Team for forever changing the way in which we travel!
What have they done to this?? It used to be a simple App to find a street view, now is almost impossible to get it to actually show a street!! It goes to the correct street selected then says 0 results... then have to arrow back... select a picture which pops up and then Yay finally the actual street view. Please just stick to the original actual function of the App, not really interested in taking pictures esp if it stops the App from actually working or being remotely pleasant to use.
I would use it to get a glimpse of features along any given path, but it does everything but let you explore, blocking most of the map out with boxes of features I'm not interested in using. It should've been kept simple but now it's overloaded with disruptive features.
In terms of taking pictures and uploading them, this works very well. However, in regards to sorting, tagging, and uploading batches of photos, this app is a disaster. The user interface needs to be thrown out and reworked. All of the elements that you need for the UI simply don't fit on the screen on a Samsung S6. Tagging is also a pain and always starts in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It's also confusing as to why photos are batched together. This may work really well if you are taking the 360 photos with the app, but if you are importing from an external device like a Theta S it's an unusable mess.
