Stopped working months ago using Note4 on Nexus Player. Nexus Player OTA update to Android 'O' and still not working... Connects then back to connect to device screen with no error message. Lots of people reporting this so if yours works then good for you. Only needed when I typing on certain apps. I have an idea this will never be fixed. I love my Nexus Player, guess it will be relegated to an older TV when I get Nvidia shield TV.
It hardly keeps a stable connection between a Samsung S7 Edge and an Nvidia Shield TV 2017 through Bluetooth. If I leave the phone locked, I have to either restart this app or turn the Bluetooth on and off. The keyboard typing also lags between the phone and the Shield. It would be easier to set up a connection if we could manually input the IP address of the device we want to connect with this app.
It's a great convenience - if it stops trying to be too smart in input. The Android TV default keyboard does not work with hardware keyboards, and now this app fails to work with smarter software keyboards (like HTC's default TouchPal)... Stop doing "a Microsoft"! (i.e. good/great product, retards for UI/UX guys)
The app works but the swipe pad is a pain to use in comparison to the d-pad and what's really missing is a gamepad mode that also utilizes the accelerometer for things like racing games. (We already know that there's a gamepad mode coming (thanks to an excellent APK teardown by AndroidPolice) so hurry up guys, please.)
Look, it works but lacks key functionality like changing the volume or even shutting off the tv. I'll have to stick to my IR blaster remote (app) even though this one works much more reliable...
100% useless. I tried to use it to give me a keyboard entry for my Sony Android tv. Only thing you can enter is characters. No letter. And the touchpad is so bad it's laughable. I cannot believe Google released an app that is so unbelievably bad
Universal Remote for your brand new or Samsung TV! Works with 2009 - 2017+ TVs!
