I don't know if HD rentals are 720p but the streaming quality is not as good as you may want it to be, seems too pixelated for 1080p. I'm using the second gen chromecast with a Nexus 6P and a 100Mbps connection with a good router so I should have no problem getting good streaming quality.
Truth be known ........ Haven't had the chance to look into, will have to wait until opportunity to rate this item arises, as yet, no clue ! ! !
Disappointed I bought and downloaded two movies and tried to play them without success. Playback is really patchy. Sometimes the sound plays but the movie doesn't or the other way around. And this happens approximately every ten seconds. Impossible to enjoy the movies. I have tried with wifi, 4G and offline but always the same thing. My device is brand new. Can't believe I paid for two movies that I can't even watch. Advice please?
Having issues I'm not sure where to put this but here goes. On my device and on a recent the videos appear to have a 3 second rule. It plays both sound and video then just the video then just the sound. Please advice. Also it doesn't matter it the movie is streamed or downloaded.
Categories I would definitely give this 5 stars but I would like a LGBT category and maybe notifications for when movies in my wish list go on sale? Also I have pretty good internet but when streaming on my Chromecast it constantly switches from hd to SD and so forth causing skipping and buffering which is pretty annoying.
Get your act together Not only can I not stream my movies anymore (plays fine if I download) but the troubleshoot faq was pointless. All of your apps are becoming useless Google and your constant updates don't make anything better, I'm very disgruntled over the poor programing your devs are currently displaying
