I purchased the latest season of Doctor Who through the app and have had major issues accessing episodes. The first issue occurred a couple of weeks ago where the new episode wasn't available until almost a week after it should have been. The next issue just happened. The newest episode was listed yesterday, but had no thumbnail and when clicked on prompted me to purchase the season I had already paid for. Today the episode is listed but when you click on it says "no purchase options available", again for content I've already paid for. I usually purchase seasons through Amazon and will go back to doing so as I've never had any issues with them.
Its a great app and love the fact that I can cast any film via Chromecast to my tv. The only disappointment is the pricing of the movies - for a digital rendition of any movie, in theory, it should cost a lot less than its average dvd/blu-ray as these dont come with extras and there is never a lifetime gaurantee, unlike its predecessors. So come on, Google, stop trying to fleece your customers.
I dislike not being able to watch my movies in English here in Germany, despite having paid more than I would have for a DVD with multi language support. There is a lot of competition on the market right now and I hope Google will eventually address this issue in the near future. Until then I will not support this service any further.
It won't let me watch the tv shows I have purchased. For a paid service, it's really frustrating when everytime you go to watch something, the show freezes or gets an error code (most commonly error code 315). Don't waste your money. By your movies/tv shows somewhere else!
I haven't had any functionality issues but the fact that I've still got to pay like $10-15 for movies that are old enough to vote is weird. I typically go elsewhere to buy my movies because of this but in and of itself, this is pretty decent. It's just that a lot of the titles are a serious money grab.
I NEED HELP. I have a Galaxy s8 Plus and I was watching the movies and I couldn't fit it all into my infinity display, it had the black bars and to me that is a big difference. I haven't been able to enjoy my movies because of it and I honestly don't care if I lose a portion of the picture I just want to be able to play it without the bars. Is there anyway I can do that? Thanks.
