Review from Sandra Ripley
Waste of money After many attempts at trying to get my overpriced movie to play I have given up. The only part of this app that works great is the payment process, they should rename it Google pay. 2
I am unable to download movies. "Unable to fetch license (error -1)" Hours with Google support. Cleared cache, uninstalled, rolled back to previous version... Same error. Used to work, but hasn't worked since the end of last year. Retried as recently as this week. I fly pretty frequently. Would be nice if this worked.
This app is filled with bugs. One I can't stand the most is how when u preorder a film it just disappears on release day. U can view it on ur list but u cant play it or find it in the store. If u try to play it from ur library it just says the film isn't out yet. Has happened with 4 films alrdy. Switching to Amazon prime
Its a great app and love the fact that I can cast any film via Chromecast to my tv. The only disappointment is the pricing of the movies - for a digital rendition of any movie, in theory, it should cost a lot less than its average dvd/blu-ray as these dont come with extras and there is never a lifetime gaurantee, unlike its predecessors. So come on, Google, stop trying to fleece your customers.
I haven't had any functionality issues but the fact that I've still got to pay like $10-15 for movies that are old enough to vote is weird. I typically go elsewhere to buy my movies because of this but in and of itself, this is pretty decent. It's just that a lot of the titles are a serious money grab.
I love being able to use the Google Play Movie Application it is really great to watch on my devices. It also connects with my Disney Movies Anywhere Application so I can watch all my Disney Movies too. I also enjoy watching my favorite television shows with it. Thanks again for all that you have to offer Google Play Movie Application so much.
Complete and utter garbage. This app is so buggy that, despite being the Google proprietary playing software it can't handle playback for more than fifteen seconds without crashing ever since the last update. "Stability improvements and bug fixes" my ass. Doesn't matter if you're on WiFi or mobile data, a minute and a half into playback it'll crash.
