So much £/$ invested in this app over the years, and now like so many other people I have a buggy crashing nightmare. First it stopped working on my Fujitsu tablet, and now my Motorola phones. This has confirmed all my initial concerns about forking over cash to an internet company, to then not access digital content you "bought".
I have spent an excessive amount of money buying movies and TV shows over the years with Google Play. Lately I cannot watch ANYTHING, downloaded or not, without it closing out whatever I am watching about a minute or two into it. I am beyond livid, I have so much money invested here and I use this app every single day but now I can not use it at all! If they fix this problem I will update my review, but for now this app is completely worthless.
Movie plays for about 5 or so minutes before restarting. Now I regret buying my favorite movie. I even deleted over half my apps to download it cause it took up so much room hoping that that would fix the buffering issue. First time using this app and it sucks. Way to go with first impressions, google. You REALLY outdid yourself.💩
I dislike not being able to watch my movies in English here in Germany, despite having paid more than I would have for a DVD with multi language support. There is a lot of competition on the market right now and I hope Google will eventually address this issue in the near future. Until then I will not support this service any further.
UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled. Fixed my problem! SO DISAPPOINTED I've used this app for years and never had any 'major' issues before. I have all of this money invested in movies and series that we cannot even watch now. I have a Samsung note 4 phone, a Samsung s2 tablet and absolutely nothing has changed on our end. This app was one of my all time favorites, and if it wasn't rendered absolutely useless I'd have given it a higher rating. Normally a 4star worthy app (they should be more generous with free content given how much they charge for movies). Knowing that this is happening definitely hurts my confidence in the app and makes me leery of spending more money. #RIPmovieNights
Its a great app and love the fact that I can cast any film via Chromecast to my tv. The only disappointment is the pricing of the movies - for a digital rendition of any movie, in theory, it should cost a lot less than its average dvd/blu-ray as these dont come with extras and there is never a lifetime gaurantee, unlike its predecessors. So come on, Google, stop trying to fleece your customers.
