Not moving correctly I love what this app does: creating, viewing and sharing 360 degree 3D VR photos. However, when looking at my or my friends' photos the pictures keep falling away and start spinning to the left or they don't follow my movement. All other VR apps work, so it's not the sensors. I wish this would work, too. I love the idea.
Still work to do Last version fix allowed me to see old pics. However they were backed up in Google Photos and deleted from my phone. I had to download them from the cloud. However, for some reason most of them lost the vr tag so I have to cherry pick them from my huge amount of pics. This app needs now a better integration with Google Photos.
Impressive Used it for ~10 pics, really immersive with the sound integration. This app really deserve a strong 4.5 star. The main flaw is that it's more a panorama than a real vr 'sphere' pic: you cannot look at the ground or the sky with the cardboard on... Also luminosity settings will change if the sun appear during the pic, giving a crappy merge at the join.
WIP All I wanted was the old style sphere camera an I can't seem to find that app anymore. It was awesome. But now we have this? Its a cool concept with using VR to show pics but it gives me a headache when I try to view the photos. Google, if your reading this an still have the old app please link me the address or whatever so I can get that one. Thanks
Pixel integration Doesn't work on Pixel using Daydream unless you open Cardboard, and select Daydream - you then have to place the phone IN Daydream, and then take it out if you want to view another VR photo. It won't see them in Daydream, using the Cardboard app. Opening photos in Daydream doesn't work for most Cardboard photos either. You can't share these photos either; Gmail produces an error ("an error occurred while connecting to the internet") on wifi and cellular, so does Hangouts.
Good but.... Doesn't do the full 360. Caps out at around 340 degrees which leaves a gap. Maybe a need for a calibration setting? Also maybe 3 passes at different vertical angles to give a greater vertical range of view? These improvements would make it AWESOME!
Share your VR photos! Cardboard Camera will generate a link that you can send via e-mail or post on social media.
