I give up. The designers meant well and I believe the user interface I well designed. But the technical problems make this app unusable. NFC reader works fine the first time to change the transport PIN to the 6 digit personal PIN but already the next attempt to see what data is stored on the card reliably fails. I spent 20 minutes turning and flipping the card (no case). 9/10 times, I get no reaction. If I'm lucky, I get stuck in the "weak signal loop". Sorry devs, but this ain't working.

NFC service not working. I just received my residence permit card today and i tried to set-up the app, except it just won't detect my card. I'm using a Samsung s25, yes NFC is enabled and yes NFC works perfectly fine I make payments with it all the time. But for some reason this app just won't detect my card. Please fix whatever the issue is!

I had trouble verifying my identity in order to sign in to bund.de. It took me more than 10 minutes to see the message I received, which turned out to be a notification about an update to the privacy policy... I had to remove my phone case so that my ID could be recognized. It's strange, though, that contactless payments with Google Pay work just fine with the case on. The connection to the PC app was also interrupted several times.
