Ratings and reviews

Terrible map/location function. I use the app primarily to get rideshares around Southeast Asia. The location feature is pretty inaccurate and often gets the wrong addresses. Even if you explicitly put in an address for pickup or drop off, the app likes to change it sometimes resulting in the wrong pickup and drop off point. A bigger frustration is inability to find locations. On Google maps I can easily type in the name of a business or an address and find a place. Grab cannot do this well.

Grab was a great app to have while traveling in Bali. Very helpful uber-like experience for finding transportation. I used it for ~10 rides, and one food delivery. That said, there was a bug that prevented me from using my US-issued credit card in the app. They fixed this bug a couple days before my trip home. I did appreciate that the app allowed me to book rides for cash payment, but heading to the ATM every day was inconvenient enough to remove one star from my review.

If there was another app available for a foreigner, I would gladly use it. Trying to pay with credit cards works sometimes. Now I can't use them at all for food and taxi. Waiting for a long time for some resolution to this. The app really is very poor. The help centre as it is called is really very limited in its ability to resolve issues.

What's new
