Works very well and is extremely helpful with pronunciations. I have been using this app to learn and communicate with French Canadian people via voice chat and text chats on my Playstation 4 while playing videogames like EA Sports NHL 2016 hockey. It is a great tool. It is not 100% perfect, but it is the best app I have found yet for my needs and the voice translation function is an excellent feature. Thank you to all of the developers. I hope that this app continues to get better over time. I will keep using it and I will recommend it to all of my friends.
Offline dictionary does not work After downloading the dictionary it does not show up in the available dictionaries. The zip file is located in /. After moving it to the app directory still no use. How can it be used offline? Update: for large sized files it looks that the app is not extracting the files, I have done it manually and placed it in the correct location. Otherwise a good app.
Preparatory features More than a translator. Word of the day is great. Flash cards are excellent idea. Three issues: flash cards are speaking the French with anglicised (English) voice; and when I talk to translator it only uses the first couple of words. Also offline dictionary I downloaded from app is not listed in the app.
French Translator It's seems ok. The words if the day are a bit....well... Useless for me who can just about say how are you in French. Maybe if they were not so advanced, they'd be more helpful, say for holiday travel?
At times lately it's seemed a bit slow, but that could be due in part to my older phone and/or rural location. Other than that, it's great. I look forward to the Daily Word and intend to start using the flashcards that I just found out existed. Thank you for this app, it's been a big help.
I'm gonna gripe today Dropped down a star cause I'm tired of the daily word being a cognitive. Come on! Convention is the French word for convention? Really... Additionally, I need to know the gender of the nouns.
Fixed error in translation.
