this app is terrible. in server mode It constantly disconnects from the grill when your phone locks. In local mode it will not monitor the temperature in the app. what use is it? The old app will so much more stable and better at controlling your grill temperature and monitoring what's going on. for the amount of money these calls do you think that they would work better. I've tried to reach out to GMG on several occasions and no one has returned my emails. I guess next time I'll look at a traeg

I was having issues staying connected with 1.3.4-1.3.7. Now on 1.3.8, I can't even connect to the grill. I can log into my account but it won't show anything for the grill. If I reboot the grill, the app says it lost connection and tried to reconnect but fails. Currently this app is broken to the point of being worthless. Too bad because it was originally broken but then was fixed and was working well. I'm hoping they fix it quickly.

Hi Aaron, 1.3.8 shouldn't have contained any changes that would cause this. Can you reset the grill, delete the grill from your grill list by hitting "Edit Grills", and give it another try? If this still fails please contact support so we can document your issue for testing.

Update: Newest version. Had to logout and login during grilling. The grill isn't recognised anymore and the app doesn't work. So still 1 star. As others stated, this app frequently loses connection and forgets login details. There are no error messages, so it is unclear whether the app is still connected to the grill or not. Local mode works reasonably via bluetooth. I would like a local WiFi connection without the need to go through GMG's servers. The old app worked a lot more reliable.
